Jumping into "Qing's Quest" felt like stepping into a dangerous world, but one rich in colour. It combines the excitement of classic fantasy with the engaging elements of a modern LitRPG.
    Style: 5/5
Henrik has a knack for storytelling that's both vivid and down-to-earth. The descriptions bring the action to life. It's like sitting around a campfire, listening to a friend recount an epic adventure. A bloody one.
    Story: 5/5
The plot is more than a series of quests. It’s a journey. The LitRPG elements help propel the story forward, so it becomes not just about what Qing will do next, but how his experiences and choices shape him (and those around). The pacing is fast, with good balance between action and character development. The world-building, while good, is something I’d like to see more from in the coming chapters.
    Grammar: 5/5
The writing is clean and polished with minor blemishes, but nothing that annoyed me.
    Character: 5/5
Qing is a character I can really root for. Watching him grow from a scared normie through reluctant hero and hopefully into a true champion is fun. The supporting cast like Kaela and Rowan are more interesting, and they pack a punch.
It’s a fun read and I look forward to following Qing on his adventure.

This is truly a great story to read. I started reading this as part of a review swap, but this is by far one of my favorite stories I’ve read recently, whether for a review swap or because I picked it up on my free time. I strongly, strongly recommend this to LitRPG fans!
Grammar: Nearly impeccable. I really appreciate the obvious care the author put into making the grammar neat. There were a few instances of typos, but nothing much and certainly not enough to pull me out of the story. Honestly the only complaint I have about this (which might be more appropriate to put under the style section, I’m not sure) is spelling out OMG and WTF.
Character: Qing feels relatable and well-developed from a personality standpoint. I really appreciate the secondary characters as well. They were sketched quickly in a way that gave me enough to imagine them but not so much that it distracted me from the main storyline.
Style: No complaints here at all. This was a very clean, easy-to-read style that put the story first. “Functional” feels like too minimal a word to really capture how the style reads, because I have a lot more positive opinions about the style than what “functional” probably implies. I like how the stats/quest text was done as well. Tidy and not distracting. As far as description goes, there is enough to paint a nice picture, but not so much that it becomes distracting.
Story: This is a fast-paced story, like most LitRPG are. It definitely hits all the points for what to expect with a LitRPG. Even so, it had the tropes executed in a way I didn’t entirely expect, and that was truly a pleasure to read.
Again, this is an excellent story and is excellently executed. Definitely give it a try!

While not something I would have searched out on my own, I'm glad I was approached by the author for a review swap. This is a vivid and engaging world, one which I feel like I'm trekking through right alongside Qing. The first couple chapters alone, thrust into the action at breakneck pace, are a refreshing alternative to the quiet, 'figuring-things-out' stage of many isekai.
I think the standout aspects of this work are the Style and the Characters.
    Style score: 5/5
The descriptive scene setting. The snappy, colourful combat. The grim realism of a medieval world where you're vastly out of your depth. All of this is conveyed skillfully and thoughtfully, the result being a story that leaves me wanting more. I'm influenced into wanting Qing to stand up to this danger, and the darkness of the world makes this no mean feat.
    Grammar score: 4.5/5
Well put together, the word choice and use of descriptive language is top-notch. A couple errors in sentence structure, punctuation and some awkward phrases, but it's not been enough to break my immersion so far, and even through that, it's still easy to intuit what the author intended.
    Story score: 5/5
I've not read a LitRPG with a System that leans this hard into game-physics before (specifically some features of the inventory), but if there are others like it, I can't imagine them doing it better while still making the setting feel as gritty and realistic as the author has. The world feels full, in spite of having only seen a tiny sliver of it, and the motivation for the MC to fight the fight is one I haven't seen before. Everything is so vivid, it's easy to picture the scenes and feel the atmosphere as you read, which is something I highly value in a work!
    Character Score: 5/5
The characters are colourful, multi-dimensional, and their presence is valuable for other reasons than just supporting or contesting the MC. The first 12 or so chapters could be off-putting to some, the MC is not coping well with thei

The story is interesting and engaging right from the start. The main character starts off as a total wimp who freezes up and tries to run away from any danger. After some power growth and overcoming his fear he willingly puts himself in the middle of zombie hoards to save others. So there is satisfying character growth of the MC. The other characters are also pretty well cast and believable in their roles.
The story creates several interesting mysteries. As a reader you want to know why the mysterious bad guy is after a certain girl and is raising all these zombies to destroy cities. There are several other interesting mysteries hidden in there that keep the reading interest going.
The style is dark and a bit gruesome, particularly at the beginning of the story. I usually don't like overly dark stories and usually don't seek out stories about undead, but this one is really well done and I've enjoyed it so far. There are real stakes at play. People die. People get wounded and there is loss.
I marked down for grammar because of the spelled out OMG "omgee" and the like in chapter 1. Thankfully the author abandoned this nonsense in later chapters. The story is written fairly clearly and grammar doesn't really get in the way of enjoying the story.
If you like well-written portal fantasies, you will probably like this story.

If you're a fan of LitRPG isekai, then you more or less know what to expect. The author does a good job at putting the protagonist through the plot wringer, needing to grow up as a fighter and a person to save the people he meets.
The story has no glaring issues, grammar is good, characters are believable and three dimensional, plot is reasonably vague (save the worlds), and pacing has a nice rhythm to it while moving things forward.
Honestly speaking it feels like the sort of story you'd sit down and read when you're looking for something that you already enjoy reading but want more of (that being litrpg fantasy).
I'm not entirely sure if that was the intention from the author, but it's a comfortable kind of feeling.

The MC started out pretty pathetic, but thw combat is awesome, so i stuck around for that. glad that i did, because the story just kept getting better, and now I’m hooked. I really liked Rowan and Kaela. I think the author is pretty new because there is a big improvement in the writing as the story progress. Hope the story continues and is finished. I want to know what happens to Qing in the end!

    Loving this story.
Set in a fantasy world but with realistic consequences. The main character is not instantly perfect. He makes mistakes, people die and it is his fault. And because of this it makes it all the more satisfying when he gets a win. It feels earned.
Happy ever after is not given. It needs to be worked for
He's not a hero, but one day he might be...

    Overall Score: 5/5 Stars
It’s lovely and gets right to the point, immediately diving into a new world in the blink of an eye.
    Style Score: 5/5
The prose is snappy and right to the point, with a distinct voice that paints a good picture of scenes, character voice, and with a good and steady pace of action and events.
    Story Score: 5/5
The story starts running with Qing’s sudden displacement into another world, heading right into the action of a zombie invasion which supplies both conflict and character building. It’s snappy, getting right to where it needs to go in terms of plot.
    Grammar Score: 4.5/5
There aren’t really any big errors aside from a single shift between first and third POV, a bit noticeable but only on the first chapter.
    Character Score: 5/5
Qing is an interesting character, it’s clear he’s got a lot of growing up and learning to do. Especially when it comes down to being in another world as harsh as this one. I’m also interested in how some of what he does is different from how locals apparently do things and how he’ll interact with locals with different cultures and reasons to distrust him.

It was enjoyable the whole time and it has really good characters that are funny and interesting. The setting is really good and the MC is not overpowered and even 50 chs in he is still having to play safe which I like. He also is pretty smart and has quickly grown on me.

I love a good isekai, and I love when it's gritty and realistic. Barring the mentally insane, most people wouldn't run around swinging at anything that moves when they get teleported to another world, and Qing seems to be most people. He's scared, he's unsure of himself, but he's trying really hard to be better than he was yesterday, and that makes for some good writing.
Style: I really like the style of the litRPG elements. They make sense in the world, not to mention that the format itself is something I haven't really seen before. That's always nice in a genre like this. The writing is also sharp and to the point, with no run-on sentences or overly complicated explanations.
Story: The opening arc is fun and gritty, not to mention that it's down to earth and not something ridiculous. It's also full of combat and litRPG elements, allowing it to move quickly between combat, introspection, and dialogue.
Grammar: No obvious spelling or grammar mistakes. The prose is short and sweet, creating a quick and punchy style.
Character: It'll be quite satisfying when Qing matures and learns to stand up for himself better. As a introverted and awkward guy that was bullied, it's obvious that he's trying really hard to come out of his shell. Being flung into a zombie-infested village forces him to do just that, and even in the first two or three chapters, we see a few snippits of character growth right away.
Overall, it's a fast and action-packed story that gets into the plot from chapter one. With fun and fresh litRPG elements, a rapidly growing mc, and tons of gritty combat, this is shaping up to be another isekai classic.
