A beautiful woman is murdered.

It seemed so natural when it was in newspapers, or in detective novels. Let the cities have their murders, or the exotic Africa. But murders to not happen in Fairfield. Yet this particular murder is the oddest one yet. Everyone seems to thinktheydid it. From the frail old Mage to the suspicious Blake, everyone is confessing they did the murder. Inspecter Kapp and Sergeant Cranford can't make head or tails of it.

But four students can, united by a puzzle in the school library. Unfortunately, murder is a habit. And it won't hesitate to strike again.
