PURPOSE

Purpose is a military opera set in a distant future where humanity had barely fought off the enigmatic alien invaders called the DEVILs and have spread themselves across the nearby star systems. The story follows Damien, a young man living in the dystopian industrial city of Solus, who is forced to join a local mafia, the Smokestacks, to earn extra income for himself and his younger brother's education. After a failed heist, Damien is captured and given a choice: serve time in prison or enlist in a military academy.

Damien chooses the latter and is thrown into a world of rigorous training and intense battles against fellow humans.As the boy spends more time in the military, he will undergo experimental genetic augmentations and participate in almost suicidal missions as the civil war in the Sol System worsens. He must navigate through political intrigue, personal relationships and the harsh realities of war to uncover the truth and protect himself from the horrors that humanity has created in the grim reality of the Dark Forest.
