Overall: The story is gripping, hilarious, and exciting everything I want in a book series. I can't wait to see how the trio grow in later chapters.
Style: The style is great and the way some of the chapters leave off on cliff hangers makes the reader return for more. I like a heaven hell dynamic in a story and this even has other realms so I can not wait for more exploration on themThe comedic writing is much appreciated in what could be a very dark story, but the humor brings it down a peg and shows what everyday people would be saying and doing in these situations. The little medical notes at the end of each chapter, both real and fictitious, are great I love them! It helps expand the world even beyond what is contained in the chapters.  I have one main question I want to ask, Why make the volumes so short? I've read up to chapter 28, and I feel that could perhaps be the end of the first volume. Not wanting to step on toes, the author has a reason, just want to know that reason.
Story: The story is great and reminds me of High School "Supernatural". The early years of supernatural, pre Leviathans season. The plot is easy to follow and the dynamics between the characters make their scenes enjoyable to read and make the reader want to continue to read. I want to know more about Zeke's Grandma and what happened to his dad.
Grammar: No issues with the grammar that I have found.
Character: The characters in this story are very relatable and easy to follow. Zeke and Ugo feel like actual brothers should in a story, its not a relationship forced on the reader and made for them to believe they are. The two have a history and they have bonded together (since the age of six I think) it shows in their dialogue and actions in the story. Naomi is interesting as she is presented as this cryptic thing the angels had and want back. Vee is my least favorite character, not for her portrayal in the writing or anything, just I do not like her type of character in stories and media. M

A truly fantastic read. At first, I thought the book wasn't really going to be something up my alley because anything hospitals aren't really my thing. But the way the author combined the supernatural with something as ordinary as doctors and just made it... no dictionary has the right words to describe how amazing it was.
Anyhow, I might as well continue with the review. I promise to be fair and respectful.
Style: The style is clear and very easy to follow. The cliffhangers, in some chapters, also leaves me coming back for more. Just the style of writing alone hooked me from the first chapter. The dialogue is realistic and also comedic, which I appreciate a lot. The style is in third person and there are some POV switches, but nothing that breaks immersion or leaves me confused. The best part (at least for me) is the medical notes that the author leaves at the end of each chapter. I really love them, honestly. The style is great overall but I would appreciate a bit more description in some parts.
Story: I saw some reviews say that the story reminded them of Supernatural tv series and guess what... you guys are absolutely right. Don't get me wrong here. That doesn't mean the story is a rip-off or anything, it just means that the vibes it gives off to me is that of Supernatural. And I really loved that show. The plot of the story is very eay to follow and it is as complex as it is simple... I know, contradictory but you'll understand when you read the story. The supernatural elements, the funny dialogue, the interesting MC and the way the plot is managed gives this part 5 stars.
Grammar: I didn't see any errors so moving along...
Character: The characters are realistic and nothing short of amazing. I found myself especially drawn to Zeke... maybe because he is the MC? The way Zeke is potrayed along with the side characters often makes you forget you are reading a story at times. Each character has their own voice, personality and quirks. And the way they interact wi

What do you do when you end up inheriting a  strange family medical text? Well... you end up using it. A lot. In ways you didn't expect.
    GRAMMAR
Absolutely fine! Nothing to see here folks, moving on...
    STYLE
A detailed but not overly ornate style, more like something you might find in a modern YA novel than something from GRRM, which is great because it fits the vibe of the story much better that way. It manages to do that difficult job of being jaunty without also diminishing the seriousness of the situations Zeke finds himself in. It's pretty clear the author is trying to keep things within that balance to avoid tipping the story over any particular extreme. Character dialogue is differentiated and even the POV views are not jarring in the least.
    STORY
SO YOUR BONKERS RELATIVE LEFT YOU WITH A MYSTERIOUS MEDICAL TEXT. Clearly life is only going to go up from here, Zeke! Zeke, who wants to become a doctor, takes to the text like a duck to water, which is great because he's going to have to start using his nana's knowledge in a world where angels, demonic beings, and all sorts of other pesky things are climbing out of the woodwork and several mysteries are beginning to emerge. More trouble is definitely on the horizon, but surely Zeke's granny's book has a page or a note about it somewhere within... right?
    CHARACTER
Zeke shines most brightly here as the MC early on, so some of the other characters feel a bit stiff at the beginning so far. There's nothing wrong with this of course because we gotta get to know our main boy better before we can really see the world better. (Ugo's pretty funny though) We do get some hints of characterization of the departed Granny Esther, and the main group coalescing around Zeke by chapter 5 (AJ and Ugo), really start to shine as well.
All in all, an excellent read so far!

Grammar = seems fine, maybe just some occasional typo.
style= Third person with occasional Pov switch, i prefer it to the first person , so it's a +1 point for me.
Story= interesting premise, So far it has been managed quite well, also 1 + point from for the interestings angels .
Characters= Saw to little of them, though Zeke and his compratios are interesting, They do not seem "flat", each of them got his/her own quirks.
Overall i'd suggest it, to those who in general like Urban fantasy, and in the past enjoyed Supernatural the tv series."

Well worth the read and added to my favorites list so I can keep up with this fabulous story.
Story: Zeke has just inherited his nan’s medical books that just so happens to involve a whole lot of occult details. Nan was always a little loopy, and while the family gave her space, Zeke took it upon himself to visit nan in the old care home. Aspiring to become a doctor, despite his disadvantaged resemblance to a famous violent mobster, he takes every opportunity to impromptu treat just about any in need of help. This is the situation we start in, with Zeke having administered an expired EpiPen into a guest at the restaurant that he’s a server at.
In the middle of all this, there’s a war brewing between the angels and the 13, whom I think are demons. Regardless, either side assumes human containers to handle their interactions.
I’ve reached the point where a container has just fallen from the sky, and Zeke has pronounced the victim as being possessed.
Style: Written in 3rd person, this novel type story won’t be for everyone. It’s not my usual preference of heavy world building and deep introspective characters, but that’s okay, because this story balances all of those things in such a way that I don’t feel like I’m missing pertinent information, and I get a clear near movie-like visual the whole way through.
Characters: All of the characters are well thought out, even the mythos around the angels and demons as it suits the story. The revelation of the characters wants and personality is gradual, but the story telling is constantly moving so by the time the next nugget gets dropped, you have enough to chew on for a while. The way this writer handles his characters is one of the few times I actually feel for the character and anticipate the character developmental arcs. Great job!
I highly recommend this story. It’s not heavy or meaty, but a nice balance of fast moving plot and details done well.

As a pharmacist it is really fun to read this story. I liked the medical references and I can tell author is really passionate about telling this story.
    Style ;
Let's start with the style. I like the standard use of third person limited style with double POVs, Now, It does get a bit jarring at times when author shifts POV between action. The POV shifts work, but they would perhaps work even better if they were not shifting between major action scenes.
    Story:
The story is a twist on standard demon vs angel wars, which does work quite well. The generation of tainted demonlike beings that cause others to mutate is a pretty interestiing take and  has the potential to be really good.
    Grammar :
    No errors i could spot.
    Characters :
I like the characters here, particualrly zeke and his gang of buffoons. They are rather relatable and make for interesting dynamics. Now, i did not like how comically evil AJ's love interests were, but i know that real life people can be so much worse so that's just a bit of a personal gripe.
    Overall :
I would recommend that you give this a shot. The story is pretty good, the main cast is well constructed and the medical references shine. it just delivers on what it is promising. I will update the review once i have read to the end of the story.

I must say, this story has a lot of depth. It feels like Discworld to me. I can see that there's a lot of work put into character description and development. Definitely the kind that people who love such an array of wildly distinct characters would enjoy.
I myself don't really relish having too many characters to follow, so can't really get into it after a few chapters. But I definitely know people who love such developments. Different strokes for different folks.
Thanks for sharing your novel with me!

A captivating blend of the supernatural and more human, relatable elements.
Style: Everything is written nicely and clear enough to avoid overt confusion. I do wish that there was a bit more detail and development to the imagery, but overall, very good. It's also possible that things might be fleshed out more further in the book.
Story: Solid pacing. Creative, interesting, and with a twist of humour that adds a nice touch. Even though I didn't read very far, the universe seems really imaginative! There's a lot of setup; you can tell how much thought the author put into their work. I really liked the blend of modern language/concepts and fantastical elements.
Grammar: Almost perfect conventions. There's the occasional error here and there, but nothing that breaks the immersion entirely. I'm not sure if certain capitalization choices for made-up terms are intentional or not, however, so there's some inconsistency there. It's all relatively small stuff like that.
Character: Unique and fun. There are lots of characters with varied personalities. The dynamics between them are a highlight of this story. The dialogue also feels natural and unrepetitive. It's pretty easy to immerse yourself into each scene alongside the characters as well.

Style: I had some difficulty reading initially, took some time to adjust to the author's style. If I could sum it neatly, it would be hyper-detailed sentences that felt like a sprint you needed to do in one breath. There's a lot of instances where the author could cut out unnecessary words to make the sentences more polished. For example, "a bit" can be removed from "There were five of them in total. One of them was fidgeting a bit." in Chapter 3.
Conversely, this long rambling style complimented the dialogue scenes beautifully. The dialogues were realistic, full of fluctuating emotions, thoughts and wants—something I struggle to recreate tremendously. I also liked the little hints the author given before an event unfolds like the paramedic growling in Chapter 1, which I thought was weird but was justified in the end.
Story: Up to the point where I've read, I felt the author probably has several story boards in the basement. I have no complains.
Grammar: There weren't many grammatical errors as I read. And for the ones that did caught my eyes, those were minor. For example, "a tree humanoid" in Chapter 3 would be better read as "a humanoid tree".
Character: The characters were well thought out. The author has a chapter dedicated to their personalities and abilities. Each character possesses unique quirks that seeped into their actions and speech. Their relationships with each other can be easily determined through the realistic dialogues the author had skillfully created. I thoroughly enjoyed the mini banters between Zeke, Ugo and AJ—the way they interrupt, embarrass and poke fun of each other.
Miscellaneous: "Sure, he kept his dark, curly hair slicked back like a ruthless mobster. His mother has stylized his hair like that since he was a child..." I'm not sure if it was deliberate, but this sentence was repeated in Chapter 1 and Chapter 3.
Overall: The story is filled with delightful little details, albeit sometimes a little too much. It's quite restrictive when a

Providence is a supernatural thriller with well-written characters and good world-building. It takes place in a supernatural version of our world and thus far has two different storylines. One focuses on a human named Zeke, and the other on an Angel called Nathaniel. Zeke's plotline is introduced first, while Nathaniel's comes in second. However, Zeke's so far is lower stakes and in later chapters they mix perspectives.
Nathaniel's storyline is by far the stronger of the two. The characters are quickly established, and the pacing is good. They also spend their time doing a lot of interesting and cool things. However, I feel like Zeke's plotline is a comparative letdown. While the characters are destinctive, there are a couple of moments. These make them less sympathetic. And it is a comparative slowburn compared to Nathaniels.
The worldbuilding is quite good, establishing enough to keep us interested without overloading. I did note one or two missed opportunities, but every story has those.
I did not notice any serious problems with grammar. But I am no expert. But the spacing and paragraph breaks are well placed. I never saw a point where I was not sure who the POV was.
The story is a bit too slow-burning for my liking. Although there is action, stakes, and motivation, we do not yet have any particular villain.
