Benjamin Terramark is the son of a prominent line of spellcasters. Born without magic, his destiny is to be the mere assistant to another mage. When Ben awakens his Prominence, a powerful ability with the potential to rewrite his fate, he abandons his former life. Leaving town with a Draconian man named Arthur Silverwing, the two soon are joined by other Prominents on a quest to uncover a mysterious danger lurking in the north.
