From the vivid, bone-chilling dungeon scenes to the flashbacks of a brutal, cutthroat world, the story is gripping from start to finish. Delilah, the pink-haired assassin, is such a fascinating character. She’s vulnerable but still so fiercely defiant, and I found myself rooting for her even as her situation seemed hopeless.
The writing is so vivid that you can practically feel the cold stone of the dungeon, smell the rot in the air, and hear the clinking of chains. When the story shifts to the flashback, the world-building really takes off. The academy’s Initiation ceremony is dark and unsettling, but it’s written so well that you can’t look away. Delilah’s ruthless efficiency in that moment is both terrifying and awesome—it’s clear she’s a force to be reckoned with.
What I loved most was how balanced the chapter felt. There’s just enough tension, action, and world-building to keep you hooked, and the characters feel real and layered. By the end, I was completely invested and ready to see what happens next. If you like dark fantasy with sharp writing and unforgettable characters, this is a must-read.
