Raised as the son of an aristocrat, Jack was born and groomed to be a man of influence, tainted thoroughly with greed and the lust for power.

As a young boy, he dreamed of becoming king of the lands he lived in, and beyond that, forging a vast empire that would take up the globe, where he would proclaim himself the emperor of the planet.

Alas, what occurs in life is often unexpected. When hordes of foreigners appear from thin air calling themselves adventurers, pursuing gold and waging battle, Jack is led to believe that there are greater forces at play than what he thought were present.

Perhaps the pond he lives in is much bigger than he expects it to be.
