Post-apocalyptic reset

When the world is in a post-apocalyptic state, society no longer has a chance to recuperate and humanity is on the brink of extinction. What do you do? You invent time travel, build a time machine, travel back in time and try to change things from the past

But what if you don’t succeed? Well, you just make sure time travel is invented again in the next time line then travel back in time once more and try again. I mean, how hard can it be to save the world? At most you’ll only have to go back in time a couple of times, right?

Well, what if it turns out that saving the world isn’t as easy as one may think. At first you were willing to see things through till the end. But after failing time and time again, are you still willing to keep going? How many times can you hopelessly watch humanity's downfall without giving up or going insane?

Tidanos was in this very situation. He had to try time and time again until he found a solution. After countless timelines he finally finds a way to save humanity. All it takes is for him to travel back in time and… What did you say? Brainwash the people, evolve humanity and exterminate all animals?
