Portrait of a Mask

A young man who calls himself Mask dwells in the neon-drenched metropolis of Nightspire, entangled in madness and vice, teetering on the brink of collapse. Gaunt and destitute, his erratic behavior draws scorn from passersby who see only a deranged outcast. During a drug-fueled wander through shadowed alleys, he stumbles upon a man-eating female demon feasting on human flesh. Through a chaotic struggle—blurred by narcotics and delirium—he inadvertently slays her. This act becomes a keyhole through which he glimpses a colossal hidden underworld, where Princes of Darkness orchestrate occult calamities veiled from mortal eyes.
