No dead pokemon parts to increase strength
No potential stuff
Only training methods and bond________________________So hey, this is my first fanfic, Please don't murder me, secondly, this is an AU with anime, games, and manga elements, with a bit of the novel. Earlier chapters are ruff, but I think the later ones get better. Also if you have a complaint, Idea, criticism, or whatever, fell free to say it I love reading feedback from you all

- CasmodiusRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I'm gonna be honest, the first 20ish chapters were a little rough for me due to pacing? It just feels rushed even after the rewrites. The rest of the book however, is much better after chapter 21. You can tell the author got better because by the end I couldn't help but get extremely invested.
- firooRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The rev title may seem like a bad thing, but it's not imho. Nowadays we find many many novels with loong character development, an average pace that lets info sunk in before kicking in the plot, and more rarely acurate timing for plot development and situation exposure. In other words, a bit boring after many similar experiences.
This novel doesnt feel that way. It feels sometimes rushed, with vivid and mostly humurous interactions between characters, and action packed pace in every chap. And I recommend it for this personality exactly. Technically its not a 5, but it'll contend with other works styles and, at least in my case, let u laugh a bit every day.
I read book 1 before rewrite, so nothing to say about that. - Bait10Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5Rather than being boringly omnipotent like some other isekai stories, this protagonist has believable strengths and knowledge. He has unique flaws, moments of childish naivety suiting his physical age, and gets caught off guard on occasion.
Additionally, the humor and plot have a very similar feel to the actual anime, making this series feel like a continuation or reboot of the original. While the first bit of Book 1 is littered with poor grammar and spelling errors, the author's writing improves in quality towards the end of this book.
If you enjoyed following Ash in the anime, you'll love this series. Each game generation is separated into different Fictions on the author's page, with gen 3 having just started at the time of this review. - HarvesterRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5The only thing holding it back from 5 stars for me is the early grammar, other than that it a great comedy with a few serious points and a lot of reoccurring jokes and gags that are left up to reader interpretation. Good for a quick read in-between the other obligations in you day.
- Loki's ChildRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5The Grammar and Spelling are pretty bad in the first few chapter (10-15ish) but it does get better. It does have its comedic moments (I love his Abra). The OC/SI that takes Ash's place actually catches Pokemon and plans ahead in his battles which is a nice change of pace. The lower end review is mostly for the bad grammar in the beginning and a few plot points that I think were just a bit rushed.
- ThousandOdysseysRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5I feel like this may be a relatively new author with a great imagination and some good potential.
To you dear author. I want to say this; It’s ok to not want to do a SoL story. But glossing over literally everything, leaves you with no room to actually tell a story.
The difference between an SoL, and any other genre is not so much in the pacing, as it is in the type of drama that occurs.
Don’t be afraid to slow down and actually let your characters have time to show their personalities.
Think My Hero Academia. A very fast paced story with lots of fighting drama and barely an episode without at least one person nearly dying. About as far as you can get from slice of life. However, every single episode also focuses down on one or more characters and shows off their personality. - JD_TontsRoyal Road★★ 2.0I did my best to give this story a fair shake, but I'm not enjoying it any more. The format is awful, there's distracting authors notes, typos, cringy text like 'flashback no jutsu', flat dialogue and a frankly boring protagonist. It brings up stuff, like characters being in certain places or performing certain actions, but they don't feel remotely impactful. He's got all of this meta knowledge but it's not noticed or called out, I don't mind Ash catching lots of Pokémon so much, as it feels like how someone who has played the games would build a strong team as quickly as possible.
The way the story tries to mix and match canons is done better in other stories, such as These Silver Eyes (Pokemon SI) or Like No One Ever Was (Pokemon SI). I'd recommend skipping this one and reading something else, because if this is supposed to be an improved rewrite, then it's clearly not finished. - JustSomeoneRandom1324Royal Road★★ 2.0The idea of this story is kinda okay, nothing new but doesn't really need to be.
What ended up turning me off is that everything feels very shallow, the running start was alright as you have to get to the meat of the story somehow.
But that's also where it lost me when the journey started, instead of slowing down we catch pokemon like candy, 6 mons caught in half that many chapters, training happens off screen for the most part and the pokemon in the fic just feel like props more than partners.
Things are supposed to be harder, and tbf, Brock kinda is if you put him next to his canon counter part, but our main character clears it first try using a plan he came up with off screen.
And stuff like that, no detail, no struggle, no development of character, is why I am putting this low rating - WorldknowerRoyal Road★★ 2.0Having read all the early chapters that say "rewrite" or "edited" in their title, i can confidently say that this story is not for me.
The story is written in a tangle of first person, third person, and naration all horribly blended together. Sometimes even in the same chapter.
When it comes to style and formatting, im honestly not sure what to say. Its inconsistent at the very least.
The grammar in the chapters that are supposedly "rewritten" or "edited" read more like a first draft.
The main character (isekai'd medical student) Ash is a wierd mix of meta knownledge and canon Ash that just doesnt work imo.
Storywise is unfortunatly were i fell off completely.
The pacing is insane, and the story glosses over, or omits info that the reader should have, and instead info-dumps stuff that is not at all relevant.
The best parts of the story are acctually the dialogue between characters. Though even that is sometimes cringey.
What i did like was the use of multiple POV.
This is unfortunatly a very negative review, and if you end up reading this author;
I urge you to go back, and get the start of your story in order.
What other reviewers have pointed out is that things seemingly gets better in later chapters, but i did not get there, and lost interest. - IamkrazycatRoyal Road★★ 1.5I like it when there are only a select few Pokémon so that they are special, a team if you will but it looks like it will be pickachu and the rest from here on out. Also giving the mc a way to detect if a pokémon is special was a mistake cause now al the Pokémon will be catched because they are strong and not because they form a bond, so they feel like tools instead of pokemon here
