It’s been several years since then, since I gave up on my dreams.  I mean what did I know, I was just a kid when I set out from Pallet town, all those years ago.  There was just no way I could go on after what happened. I was never gonna be same, I was never gonna be okay.

The truth is a hard pill to swallow, but things never stay the same.  The world changes.

People change.

Time stands still for no one.  The world moves on, progress they call it.  I don’t know about that though, seems more like we’ve gone backwards than anything.

Now I just do the only thing I can, try to get by and keep my head down.  But sometimes regret still wells up in my heart when I think of a certain yellow electric mouse.  Sorry little buddy, I know I failed you.
