Planetary Orbital Weapon - [An orbital-particle-cannon based litRPG!]

Description
[The orbital-weapons-platform got shifted to a fantasy world and I'm stuck on it all by myself!]
Orbital Gunner Gottlieb finds himself in a difficult situation as the heavy orbital weapons platform, a space-born weapon that ended a horrifying war on Earth simply through its sheer existence above the world, is torn from its original orbit by a strange cosmic event. It reappears over a new planet — a planet that is very different from the old one — it is a world full of magic, elves, monsters, and wild, dangerous things, and Gottlieb, as the last human survivor aboard the station, has no choice but to do his best to man the weapons platform, designed for a crew of nearly five dozen, all by himself, with only the help of the station’s ever-quiet, omnipresent artificial intelligence unit, ‘Kai’.
However, this new mission seems impossible to complete as his body and mind both change for the worse, as the magical system that governs this new universe’s laws quietly dumbs him down, fading his once frightening capacities as a military and strategic expert above the Earth as he turns into something more brutish and simple than the cold, capable soldier he once was — putting him at odds with the station’s unyielding AI, whose sole mission is to ensure the safety and flourishing of humanity, in this world or the other, with or without him.
Will Gottlieb be able to break through the challenges forced on him by this new dimension? Will he be able to master the orbital weapons platform, together with its AI, in order to help this new version of humanity rush towards prosperity via their guiding hands? Or will the seemingly dying world and the platform above it fall into chaos because of his new-found existence and his lack of ability to come to terms with it?

- LesserhatRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This novel is quite the fun little ride. There are only 5 chapters as of writing but I enjoyed the time I spent reading it. Looking forward to more chapters. K-AIs segments are always fun. Interested to see how power scaling will work for an orbital space cannon. :P
- 9two436Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Generally, a quick read (so far) and a really good one. The mc is stupid as FUCK which PISSES ME OFF but other than that it is good. I mean the mc should invest in INT and WIS not fucking STRENGTH. THERE IS NO NEED FOR-- alright I'm back. It is a good book. Enjoy.
(please write more if you can) - UrobrouSRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The quest of a man to have sexual relations with an orbital bombardment weapon and it's operating artificial intelligence.
Our hero is neurotic, slightly stupid, and is slowly going crazy in the abyss of space, while having WH40K levels of firepower at his disposal.
The other side has bows and arrows.
What's not to love?
Could do with more frequent releases though, that's for sure. - Rhok GehrigRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The world needs more of this story. And stories like it. I do not see many [any?] Sci-fi LitRPG here on royal road... so I am all in on this one. Sure there are some minor frustrations early on with the Station.... but its early days.... and we have yet to learn enough about what changes the Station itself has gone through.
Fingers crossed this is here for a few hundred handfuls of chapters more :) - 1Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0TL;DR : The premise is unique, and well executed to boot. It's an extremely humorous read, though some may not appreciate the excessive violence occuring in the background of this slice-of-life narrative.
Style : This story follows Razzmatazz's typical writing style of passivity with ominous hints, mixed with intermittent violent periods of change. It's an acquired taste, to be sure, but I personally can't get enough.
Story : Rather than a continuous storyline, the story flicks between settings constantly, building up tension only for it to disappear by the end of the chapter, over and over again. It's very episodic in nature, and there is little overarching plot as of yet.
Grammer : I noticed no issues with grammer, sentance structure, or the like. I do have praise for a well-formatted story so far.
Character(s) : The main character has been an enigma so far, and I sometimes found myself frusturated with his decisions. However, his madly whimsical nature compliments the story beautifully. His dynamic with the AI is also quite amusing.
Overall : This story has a lot going for it, though it can be a bit rough around the edges. I had a bunch of fun reading this, and I reccomend it to anyone willing to give the book a shot! - Dante Luca MorningstarRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0First of all, the story made me laugh and I'm still waiting for the next chapters.
I agree with some of the bad reviews, the characters aren't acting realistically, and they don't have that much of a past or substance to them.
Now I might be wrong about the next things, because I don't really remember the earlier chapters word by word. But I don't believe that we got in the beggining any kind of a goal set for the characters, or any real struggles beside Kai F-ing with Gottlieb.
That is not to say that Gottlieb being dumb is a bad thing. Its a part of the comedy, and he does have redeaming qualities, he saved people with the orbital cannon, he could have just went full chunny genocide mode.
Furthermore the people on the planet, we are seeing this from so many perspectives that we don't really get to feel super connected. But I will admit that in the small moments that we are shown their parts, the writing style does help us understand what's going on, and it does help us feel more connected to them.
I guess that the many POV makes the overall progression slow.
But at the end of the day it is a Comedy, and it did it's purpose of making me laugh, so it gets a 5/5 from me, you can dislike it if you want. It has fantasy and action, it is no adventure that people have to progress by leaps and bounds, even though that is kind of a necessity to all stories, if we were to stay like this all the time it would get boring. (Not to mention that there is kind of a progress in here, from Gottlieb kind of developing a goal of making the station fuller with other beings.)
Even though this may not be another masterpieace, it acomplished its purpose. - Dude88Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0I gave this book a shot because I was looking for something different definitely found it. I love the snarky comments by the AI. I love books that have future technology versus archaic. If you're looking for a book that doesn't have a bunch of stats to get lost in and confused. I deafly recommend giving this book a shot.
- Evelyn AdelbergRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I just love the base premise of this. A "sci-fi dude" with a sci-fi weapon gets isekaid in a fantasy world where he is only able to interact with people by firing said weapon. Brilliant.
And the LitRPG system is spot-on for me. It's not obnoxious or overbearing like in some other stories and still serves a purpose within the story. - OmnijackRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5This is a story that takes a fairly ridiculous premise - isekai-ing an orbital weapons platform, and works it into an established setting that stays perfectly consistent with the lore and rules of the universe. That alone is wild enough that this story is worth a read, especially if you've read Razzmatazz's other works.
Specifically though, it's got some fun characters and (especially towards the first half) there's an emphasis on the typical stat system actually meaning something. Low Int/Wis people aren't that smart and as the stats go up so does the rationality of their actions, which isn't something you usually see in LitRPGs. It's realy nice seeing characters actually evolve as people instead of just getting better at what they do. Being that the characters are on a space station with a button activated lazer, the only real possible growth is internal. The long process of the main character starting off as a space crazy hooligan and eventually growing into a chill, responsible being was great. - Purple CowRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I love the whole context of this. What if a futuristic weapon of mass destruction came into a fantasy world. It isn't a concept I haven't seen before but I love all the dominos and assumptions that lead everybody to do what they do. I can get frustrated by the fact that they are changing too much and causing too much conflict in the world but that is a moot point because if they didn't do that their wouldn't really be a story.
