Description

When the end of the world came, there were over sixty different psychological operations being run on the public by dozens of government factions, so even though I’m living this nightmare, I couldn’t tell you what’s happening…

A short story in which nothing is what it seems… actually three things are not what they seem, seven things turn out to be exactly what they seemed at first but then later on kind of looked like they were not, and nine things are only red herrings (please ignore those things).

This is a surreal and awkward dystopian society that makes no rational sense, so don't bother putting the elements together as one because it is either an alternate history or some different timeline with a weird spiral having taken place - the cultural icons here are distracting and unrelated to the plot anyways. This is a bit of a whirlwind of ideas of an unraveled civilization, and it does get its point across, but at the same time it lacks the context and grounding to stand on its own without drawing on contemporary figures whose cultural relevancy will be gone long before said chimeras are ever put into use. Good though, just a few rough edges.
