Pirate Cove [Coming Soon]

Humanity is trapped. Too late did the politicians and the people discover that it was a grave mistake to ignore all of the academia screaming at them that climate change was real. By the time everyone had been convinced, it was too late. Humanity was set on a path of destruction that couldn't be fixed. In desperation, they turned to the stars. A project was started, funded by all of the major governments, with one purpose. Find a way for humanity to leave Earth and survive in space. The project was ground to a halt when they realized there was no way to actually leave the planet. Years of rocket launches had created a cloud of debris, floating around the Earth. Any spacecraft launched was met with an impenetrable wall. They were trapped.

While the project was a failure, it made significant scientific and technological breakthroughs. The world united, desperately searching for a way to live.

Pirate Cove follows a group of college kids as they struggle to face their reality, and try to escape it through the VR game, Pirate Cove. Also, I haven't tried to write a drama before so this will be a new experience. Constructive criticism is welcome.

Authors Note: Currently my dominant arm is broken. Its expected to heal in around 5 weeks so no chapters will come out until then.
