This was a bit of an interesting read, with a bit of a fun quirk in Frances's POV. The story is a little off the rails with some absurdity and an evil unicorn of all things. It is a bit rough in the presentation and I do think a fair amount of fun with the wordplay though it becomes sometimes a bit tangled when you see 'holey spirit' and yet other elements are properly marked. I'll not bug about that, though I do think burbled and birth (as berth) was typo-ed - but I'm sure the author would fix it if it was not a purposeful slip. Prose and grammar are fine, though a bit of copyediting could clean up some of the edges and help it flow a little better. The first two chapters were much stronger in that respect than the others, or so I felt. And yes, this contains a recipe - an odd inclusion, but this has a lot of weird little twists and plays into it (such as the unicorn). A bit strange, but a fun read.
