Beneath the surface of Jaia lies the labyrinth. On the land above the cultures of the world have given it various names, imagined countless creation myths for it and learned to live around it and within it.

For Guan Ah Dan, escaping into the labyrinth is a means to survive. Yet that survival is tenuous at best when it comes to dealing with the dangers of the vast subterranean maze.

Wars which have been waged longer than Dan has been alive threaten the stability of life in the underground city of Allusia, and the threads of fate continue to pull and entwine more lives around the curious powers of Guan Ah Dan.

The labyrinth has many secrets, and Dan will need to uncover the deepest of them to survive what is coming.

    As always this author doesn't fail to suck me in with the atmosphere and storytelling. Honestly some of the most compelling narative I've had the pleasure of reading. I know I can pick up these stories and immerse myself into a fantasy world described in the most beautiful of ways. Can't wait to see what's in store!!

    I cannot emphasize enough how excited I am whenever I see a new chapter drop. The first book blew me away, and this second novel is shaping up to be just as amazing as the first. Not many fantasy novels can keep me interested and engaged but I really feel like i'm really apart of this world that M.T Conboy has crafted. Keep up the good work, I cannot wait to see more <3

    Full disclosure, I'm the cover artist. If you were to look me up, you'd see I don't do book covers, I accepted this commission because I genuinely love his writing and want to see him succeed.
    I'm particularly excited to read the second book again as I've not read it since I designed the cover so long ago. I cannot wait to be reintroduced to all the new characters introduced later in the series.
    This second installment really delves into the character's growth independently and as a group. I loved seeing their relationships evolve as well as the insight into why different characters behave the way they do.
    Most of all, I'm excited we're finally at a place where our heros get their mythical weapons! I find it hard to know what to say here as I don't want to give anything away! All I'll say is the hunt and fight for them in the labyrinth is nuanced and epic.
    If you enjoy adventure, friend groups with heart, high fantasy, awesome fights, and well composed themes, these books are definitely worth the read.

    Isekai? Check. Legendary weapons? Check. Cool powers? Check.
    We love a MC with a legendary weapon just as much as we love a legendary weapon with sass. Conboy delivers this again by giving us both at the same time. He doesn't just give us cool explosions and quippy dialogue; this book will make you think as well.
    Are we slaves to destiny? Do we truly forge our own path or are we all subject to the whims of greater beings. Looking forward to finding out as I continue reading!
