I just started reading the story as of recently. The story is definitely captivating, and it is quite interesting to read, to be honest. As this is a review, I will give my fair and honest opinions and I will also point out any faults the author may have.
Style: The general feeling of the story is excellent and provides an action-thriller, urban fantasy vibe, just as expected. The literary devices the author uses also convey the imagery well and are very descriptive. However, some of the author's word choices can be a bit complex to follow (At least for me) but they are still readable.
Story: The plot development of the story is one of the best parts. The plot is particularly strong, and it is very interesting. The pacing of the story is also balanced. Although, the pacing can be a bit rushed in some places, where I would've loved to see more details.
Grammar: I did not notice any spelling or grammar errors. However, the author could work better on their dialogue tags and their punctuations. Overall, great grammar and it does not distract from the story.
Character: The characters are realistic and three-dimensional for the most part. However, some side characters feel a bit bland to me. I would also appreciate if you 'show' more of the MC's personality through the writing rather than explaining it literally. For example:
Hi there, I go by the name Connor Drails, just your average kid blending in with the crowd, not standing out but not fading into the background either. I tend to lean towards being an introvert, appreciating moments of solitude and finding peace in the quieter aspects of life.
I'm not a fan of large social gatherings, but I do find human interactions to be quite complex. Surrounded by people, I can't help but feel out of place, a perpetual witness to my own social clumsiness. Being by myself isn't about reveling in solitude; it's more about finding comfort and ease in the quiet moments.
In that dialogue, I would have preferred if the author did not
