Description
Contrary to the title, this story is not about cannibalism. It is a rom-com that primarily takes place in an unusual high school boys' bathroom. Imagine acleanhigh school boys' bathroom. It doesn't exist. That's why this is fiction. Oh, and a mysterious and creepy mirror in the bathroom apparently wants to eat students. This causes everyone to avoid using that bathroom for the longest time, allowing it to become the world's cleanest high school boys' bathroom. Or, at least, that is until a certain someone with bowel problems uses the bathroom, despite all the nasty rumors, and finds himself at the mercy of the haunting mirror. Though, how evil can it be if it gives love advice?

- Conrad StokesRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Disclaimer: This review is written for a review/comment swap with the author.
This story is exactly what the tags say it is and that makes it kind of unique. It is a psychological comedy and I’m seeing why after reading past the minimum 10k and up to the latest chapter release.
Now, let’s air out the room and address the fact that this story relies on fart/poop gags quite a bit given the setting. Usually rolled my eyes at those parts, but the kid in me giggled at some of them too.
The story is not some fantasy setting where the MC is fighting a demon lord or saving the world, it’s literally a high school kid and a magic mirror in the bathroom (as the blurb states). It won’t grip you with “oh, no what’s going to happen next”, but it does have a bit of a cliffhanger mystery thing going on that has me hooked.
The style is pretty casual, but not badly written casual. It is a comedy and written in a semi interactive way that acknowledges you as you read it.
The MC and supporting cast is not too strong in the depth department, but it is not a bad thing. Sometimes you just read so many MCs dealing with so much internal dialogue that the plot doesn’t move until they reflect on their dead mom for the 29th time until you feel like yelling at them to see a therapist. This story is not like that, and sure there is a little teenage angst going on, but it was cutesy and quaint in its simplicity and the way characters move in the story.
Grammar was good! No complaints there.
Overall, quick read that is decently written and a bit refreshing! - DangerousDDRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Firstly, I'm not a big fan of Rom-comedy. The only medium that I love is the Film It Happened One Night.
But the premise of this is interesting so far, and the first chapter had an intriguing pull.
I didn't expect the mirror to actually be alive! Nice one.
A tiny piece of feedback from me would be to introduce her in chapter two and no later than chapter three.
Expanding the MC's thoughts in the second chapter might be ideal, granted that something extraordinary happened to him. - FirstNexusRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5This is a 5/5 for what it is trying to do. Nothing like the best story I've read or anything but it's a fun little tale to read late at night.
Style: It's a fun style with puns but not too many of them, and it's an embarrassing kind of humor, but it stays funny enough throughout. It's a very good style that reflects a good modern high school with some twists. I personally liked this sort of unique style a lot, considering it's a short story and it's pretty fun to read.
Story: The story is cute and fun, and once again, does exactly what it intends to. This isn't some profound long series or a huge progression fantasy web serial. It's a fun little short story that does have excessive descriptions of the MC in the bathroom (which is just perfect for this story). I will say I'm not the biggest fan of short stories, but this one does its job well enough.
Grammar: I didn't catch anything here and as I really only lower the score for any egregious issues. The author also seems to be good at fixing stuff pointed out in the comments so props to them.
Character: I really like the characters, and the Rimorr the most, but I think they're all written well and their interactions don't feel forced at all. It seems like a typical high school scenario and I think the author does well to convey that along with the twist of the magic mirror existing. I will say developing characters can be difficult in a shorter story like this but the author does well enough and it's easy to get a sense of them pretty quickly.
