- MaethryaRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Toru's world of technology and psionic power is introduced to the reader with a high stakes, life-or-death elimination competition. The author does well at balancing the worldbuilding with an MC that knows what is going on, without spoon-feeding all the details or leaving us in the dark.
Style - Each chapter is generally well-written, and provides plenty of detail to each scene. My biggest gripe is the length of the chapters. They are so, so short, and it can make the story feel stuttered.
Grammar - No glaring issues. There is an abundance of long, descriptive or compound sentences that some readers might find difficult to follow, but its something I personally prefer.
Story - Despite the short chapters, the story pacing is on point. The reader is getting a steady drip feed of information about the wider world, how things work, and Toru's progress within the current trial.
Characters - Toru's personality is shown well, despite how early it is in the story. We might not know his motivations yet, but the story does not feel like we need to for it to progress. The addition of a memory not only helps build the character, but the world around him. We have been introduced to a handful of side characters that, for the most part, have distinct and interesting personalities.
The exception to this appears to be Hatomi, who seems rather inconsistent in her intelligence. She shifts between tactical decision making, and an almost child-like trust of Toru. There also is not a real explanation as to why she did not just blow Toru's head off, since Hatomi is unaware of alliances at their encounter. - Sololetter1Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5this web novel is actually great and enjoyable to read it is if you are into this kind of genre you can enjoy but are still advise you to give it a try the characters are distinctive and well written the grammar is okay in my opinion and the story line is intriguing this is a good story and you won't waste your time here uh
