Description

Max was murdered, but now he is mostly over it.

Living on earth as a recent college graduate, he can still perfectly recall his past life on Albion, a sword and sorcery world. He'd been hailed as the "Hero of the World" after crawling his way up from poverty, eventually enjoying great fame and luxury.

But on mana-starved Earth, he's just a guy. His parents need his help, and finding a new job would be more trouble than it's worth.

However, when Earth is suddenly attacked, changing the natural laws of the world and threatening all life on the planet, Max will get a new opportunity to regain some of his lost power...and then some. He discovers an entire system of multi-dimensional colleges created for those gifted with a Path.

The universe is much larger than Max had even known ever during his first life. Max is not the Hero of Albion anymore, but the drive to excel is still part of his nature. And the more power he has, the easier it should be to save his world.

...Right?

not many of Blaise’s books have in it instantly fallen in love with but this one is definitely towards the top. Can’t wait to see the direction his 3 paths take him. Strong character with a ton of room and ability to grow OP. Love it and I would Definitely recommend!

One of my favourite series on this site, brilliantly mixing humour and seriousness
Saliron's introduction was the funniest scene I've read in quite a while
    Style:
The pacing is perfect as you consistently see new elements of the story, but it's not so fast that the main character is taking down God by chapter 5. The genre of reincarnation is also handled very well, with a much more realistic take on regaining past life memories than other stories that I absolutely loved.
    Story:
It manages to remain interesting throughout whilst still moving the wider plot forwards. Exposition is done well in a way that leaves me wanting to know more and the wider plot that is slowly unveiled is very captivating.
    Grammar:
The sentences flow extremely well together and make for a very comfortable reading experience where you can immerse yourself fully in the story. There are the occasional typos that have slipped through the editting net but I'm still giving it 5 stars as they are few and far between, as well as easy to fix once pointed out. Whereas consistently nailing the prose is much more difficult.
    Character:
Probably my favourite part. Max is an engaging character with depth to his personality who acts in a way consistent with his own internal beliefs. The main supporting character also has their own very distinct personality and is very fun to read. If course cool characters doing cool things also gets bonus points
Max going absolutely wild at Imperial is definitely a highlight of the early part of book 1

A reincarnation where the previous life is better than this one until...demonic invasion with no warning or preparation until...isakai to a sect college, to train up for the invasion until you die or complete training until...PvP breaks out between schools of the college until...the previous life's skills come good until...rivals getting trapped in a dungeon until...
The layers pile on and you know that each layer needs dealing with sooner or later. the MC is a reasonable person in unreasonable circumstances. The plot works. This is written well enough that even reading episodically there is no confusion. You just wonder what might come next. I am confident that all the ends will tie up and matter. Whatever kind of OP MC will result from this journey remains to be seen, but I want to know and I want to see the consequences.

A really fun read - a blend of fantasy and litrpg.
Interesting main character in an interesting setting - lots of combat, and the story takes lots of twists and turns.  As the MC gets stronger, so do his challenges.
I've just finished book 2, and they're both well worth a read.

Usually when I begin LitRPG I expect fast pacing, little world-building at the beginning, and simple character built up. Those are the characteristics of this genre, I believe, especially considering the web novel format. Those are not flaws, and I insist on that, simply another way to write stories. A way that I have come to slowly discover and enjoy.
However, deep in my heart, I will always prefer the kind of fantasy I read when I was a kid. Slow built up, complex world building, deep characters. That is why, reading the book, I was surprised. I didn’t expect this kind of writing here, especially with the « reincarnated hero » trope.
I began the book expecting flashy battles and fast power-ups from the beginning, because I also love those sorta fantasy stories, but I was delighted when I understood this was a story more akin to a slow-paced fantasy. Similar, but not the same.
Of course, I’m only talking about the similarities I liked most, and this story still resembles more the others in the GameLit and LitRPG genres than what I’m talking about.
Plot-wise, once you get over the slow beginning, it becomes thicker and the MC’s antics are genuinely funny :). Or maybe it’s because I love troublemakers ? Chuckle
    Anyway, five stars, easy.

Great story and a really unique twist on the iseki.  Character is super believable and likable.  Great writing so far.  Love the story.  Why is there a min of words on these?  If I could come up with a 50 word paragraph on the spot, I wouldn’t be reading Stuff, I would be writing it….

I wrote a refiew earlyer in the Story and i felt like it needed an update.
I m still a huge Fan of the Story to the point i subscribed on Patreon to read ahead. So in Reality i just finished reading Chapter 30. The early chapters are a bit slow but build up to the stroy with a lot of information wich you need later in the story. The MC soetimes makes mistakes he could have avoided but are understandable if you think yourselfe into the charakter.
The MC hits all my marks with being a magic swordsman and becomming a summoner so 200% stylee points there and i hope to see some epic summons later in the story.
While i cant say much to the grammar since english is not my first language (i m from germany) i can say that i enjoy reading the story without hangups or other obvious mistakes.
Oh and the cliffhanges at the end of each chapter are still strong. RIP me i wanna read ahead even further ^^
Have fun reading this story made it to one of my faforites!!!
My old refiew Chapter 12: I cant wait to read more. The start is interesting and different enought from other storys to make you hungry for more.
Magic and Swords are right up my ally so i cant wait to see how the System underlying in this universe incorperates all of that. The only problem i have is that there is a cliffhanger at the end of each chapter so you have to be patient and wait while sitting on your fingers in the hope for an early chapter.

I look forward to reading this story each time a new chapter comes out. As of Book 2 Chapter 41, I am interested in the people and in trying to understand the setting and place that the main character finds himself.
One thing I will say about this story that may not be for everyone is that it breaks or tweaks tropes such that your expectations are not met. It's not a comfortable retelling of what you might be used to, and that may make certain readers with expectations uncomfortable. I however, do like this method of storytelling. It's keeping me coming back for more over and over again.

I've really enjoyed the story so far. The protagonist is intelligent and powerful, without being over powered. The setting is a great variation on the system apocalypse genre, and the background politics seem realistic.
Great read; well worth picking up when you go searching for your next book. It's reminded me to go looking for the rest of the author's work on kindle, too.

Interesting start, sets up the world and our protagonist's place in it, the reverse isekai struggling to find a place for himself is neat, we start getting introduced to some other characters, bam a system apocalypse happens and he starts getting his powers back and being a badass...
and then we get sent to hogwarts (and put in hufflepuff). HMMMMM.
The author has said that he has a plan for the magic academy stuff, and im sure he does, but its just not interesting to read. We've spent as long in school as on earth, and we're just getting to first lessons now. I was promised a post-apoc reverse isekai and instead its just magic school. I'll check back in like 50 chapters, if I remember.
