- TheHuscarlRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5So the synopsis is true (at least what has yet transpired), but is mostly seen from the point of view of an ensemble cast in one of the rival cities/kingdoms, and how the situation in Pirun impacts how they should act.
Magic system seems to be that they're all practically 'scroll savants' in these kingdoms. But that they're implied to be more magically advanced than outside 'barbarian' kingdoms, together with another event, indicates that the overall magic system just requires ritual components and runes/engravings. Magic is a huge part of the story.
Grammar & style is fine, can be a bit tough to follow at times, but errors seem to mostly be misplaced quotation marks. What is a bit rough is the number of characters, they are a bit tough to remember/differentiate purely because there are so many. But the way they're introduced and used in groupings does help, and hasn't really been an issue outside of a couple of chapters with a lot of 'lord/lady' characters.
