- BedwigRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0This story is a pretty solid read, overall from what I see.
The grammar is good, though there are the occasional spelling error, like using the wrong they're/their/there, for an example.
The story is also pretty good, although sometimes with the POV changes it breaks the flow a bit from other perspectives. The plot also sort of swings from almost no action to sudden action and fighting, though it isn't out of nowhere, like ch12, where things very rapidly escalate (in typical Worm fashion). Occasionally, it gives a bit of whiplash.
Only thing is, with how OP the MC is, there really is no sense of tension, like 'what if she fails?'. You know everything's going to be just fine because the MC really might as well be God.
Like, even dying does nothing. She can bring anyone back within 3 seconds of them dying, I think.
The worldbuilding relies on you already knowing the terminology and naming systems, and some characters are introduced very quickly and briefly, so it's best if going into this you have a general idea on the plot and characters. For example, when Cauldron or Contessa is mentioned, no further explanation was given to explain who, or what exactly they're supposed to be. I know some people will read fanfics without reading the OG fiction (I've done it a lot), so this would be one that would be confusing without knowledge already.
One last thing about the story is that we're told a lot of things, but not shown. For example, we're told that Carol's an abusive mom a lot, but we're only shown bits and pieces, not really enough to warrant the title. Of course, this is a fan fiction, so a lot of the world building relies on people knowing the actual canon events, characters, and such. I have noticed that while you can read some fanfics with little to no knowledge, this one for sure needs a decently high level knowledge of canon events to get what the MC is referencing, and also to understand the characters' names and powers.
The characters are decent overall, with m
