Description

He died, as all things do. He got combusted, as all things do. He became part of the air, as all things do. He got absorbed by some flora, as all things do. He got eaten, and he’s a bull again…

As all things do, right?

After his sentience whirled around some abstract cycle, Triple-A now attempts to live peacefully, undergoing conversion and transformation as his mind exceeds that of simple herd behavior.

He went from wanting to let the grass grow under his feet to undergoing an existential crisis regarding life and death; he needed to squash this beef.

Overall: I highly recommend this for anyone in search of an easy read with heavy focus on internal thoughts. This is not the kind of story that builds rich imagery in your mind of the environment, but rather exists in such simple environments everyone knows what to imagine anyway which negates the need for such descriptions.
Style: Written in intimate 1st-person (1st-creature?) POV purely through thoughts, it took me a couple of chapters to get used to it. Once I did, I loved the stylistic choice in how the story was told. The thoughts feel natural and have a nice flow to them, courtesy of how the character's thoughts often build atop the ones that come before. The style makes for an easy read you'll be done with in no time.
Story: Surprisingly gripping being in the mind of a cow. It makes you wonder what will happen next in their life and what they will think of it.
Grammar: Clean and easy to understand. At no point did a grammatical issue distract me during the story. I also liked seeing the use of colons which gave variety in punctuation.
Character: There's only one primary character but their voice is strong, as it is present throughout the entire story, and it feels justified putting them at the forefront. Their thoughts are relatable and head in a direction that musters up sympathy for them. Even if they were not a cow I'd want to root for them.
