Outsiders

An unassuming computer science graduate student and gamer, along with her classmates, stumbles upon a mysterious AI process which appears to be distributed across the whole Internet.  It seems an innocuous discovery, until people begin dying and Melody herself is targeted by a demonic presence.  Meanwhile, a special operations team on what should have been a simple extraction, easy in and easy out, is ambushed and nearly wiped out.  One of the survivors, Chief Warrant Officer Constantine, sees something impossible and hears a crazy story from the poor fellow the team was sent to retrieve.  A lowly intelligence analyst begins to put these and other clues together, and what the clues point to is earth-shattering, but he, too, disappears before he can share his discovery.  The two survivors will have to form an unlikely alliance, uncover the truth, and stop the coming end of their world.
