- ValentineNRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5A depressed young man in a dead-end job with no real life prospects suddenly finds himself transported into another world.
It takes him some time, but eventually he settles in, the biggest shock being not the new world, but the kindness of complete strangers.
Grammar. I saw no obvious problems so 5/5, tough I'm not a native speaker so take that with a grain of salt.
Story is great. The world is well built and the MC experiences many adventures, all unique and interesting. In some he leaves like a hero, in others like a cowardly villain. It's something I rarely see in fiction, and rarer still on RR. 5/5
Style. It works most of the time, but sometimes, the conversations come across as stilted or as if interrogating a chat bot (the village with the guardians when questioning the villagers). Blunt and truthful does not mean simple minded. 4/5
Character. The MC is fairly well done, and spiritually he's fairly well written, even growing as the adventures come and go. However, as a transmigrant, I would've expected some more impact from his previous life. The other characters are good in their way, but a bit too plain, like Tasha. I understand that she's a major character and her story will develop in time, but there should be more. Lars is very well done though. 4/5
Overall, I give it 5/5. Yes, there are problems and I'm certain a decent editor or simply just keeping on writing can smooth them out.
Tl;dr. It's a great fantasy story with loads of adventure.
