Description
In a world where your deeds and actions are judged and rewarded by the gods, some people are forced to walk a harder path. Worse, some are forced to give up the paths long since traveled by others and forge their own path through the world.
Lykan Vita is an Outcast, one whose god revealed traits are met with scorn and derision by others. In a world with Magic he is a Null, or one who is immune to magic.
The powers that be have long since come to regret and fear the nulls of society. For what use is living life with magical supremacy when one can from birth forever be unaffected by your prowess. How can a ruler force their will upon the land to one who is by their very nature immune to their gods given superiority.
Even when a bad path is given, there is still a chance. One can, if their deeds are deemed to be exemplary by the gods, change their fates.

- mattwandcowRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0There is so much to like about this story. It's a good power fantasy ride that still manages to surprise you. Lykan (the character) might have a stumble every now and then, and seem to lose a bit of power, but so far, each time there were lore implications and he's come back stronger than ever.
The world that Lykan (the author) is spinning has a magic system that feels like its part of the setting. Each of the nations treat the magic differently, and in a way that makes them feel different, that their cultures matter. The gods of the setting are paradoxically very willing to have their power touch mortals of the world, and yet, they don't seem to interfere.
Lykan (the author) has also been involved in the comments, answering the occasional question, making suggested corrections, and providing marked spoilers to assuage some fears and worries of readers. Great interactions, and it sounds like Lykan (ta) has things outlined, including chapter references, all the way to the end of book 3, which we just recently started.
My only complaint is that we could use a map, because maps are cool :D
(Review made on Chapter 77) - lanZeRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The story has amazing potential and I personally think after you get through the start it's an amazing work. But the start needs to get rewritten. like desperately.
I mean a dragon 500 years old, an amazing creature that takes skilled adventureres to defeat, just dies of eating a rock. yeah. thats it.
It just breaks the immersion so hard. IT CAN BREATHE FUCKING FIRE. WHY DOESN't IT JUST MELT THE ROCK?! If the author can find a different, not as absurd, way to set up the dragon kill I would really love it.
And I mean I really love op mc's but.. Telling the reader that the best humans get a stat of 10 for something and then proceeding to get the character a stat of 17 two paragraphs after is just straight up nonsense.
And making a big deal out of him leaving the country only for him to lose the magic immunity 2 chapters after is weird. I mean he's 11. Why won't he just go back to his dad? There's just no apparent logical reason.
if these issues get fixed its pretty good. - BloodyDeepPlotRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Some people are obliged to tread a harder path in a world where the gods judge and reward your efforts and behaviors. Worse, some are obliged to abandon roads already trodden by others in order to establish their own path through life.
Main Character is an Outcast, someone whose god-given characteristics are ridiculed by others. He is a Null, or someone who is immune to magic, in a world where magic exists.
The ruling class has long since learned to lament and fear society's nulls. What good is it to live a life of magical majesty if you may be immune to your prowess from the moment you are born? How can a monarch impose their will on the people?
The story's style is quite easy to read, which adds to the enjoyment of reading. There are no complicated perspective shifts here, and there's no extra work necessary to decipher dramatic irony.
I didn't see any grammatical errors, and spelling went unnoticed as well. I'm not a big fan of going over things with a fine-toothed comb. There are no specific instances of terms being used that make it seem weird, and everything runs smoothly.
In general, I appreciate this novel and am looking forward to the next exciting part. It's just not the type of story that everyone will like. - 13lack12oseRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Hi , really enjoying this novel thus far.
You mentioned earlier that this should be taken as a first draft and on that note I have a few things I thought that were worth mentioning;
The blimp which came to the farmstead as tax collectors were not linked to the people who came after as recruiters. It seems odd that the group were so willing to jump at the opportunity after Lykan (and the rest) were so badly treated previously by the Collective.
The scan function / orbs used dont really make sense. You mention that the orbs are required to sense power levels. But then later on people can just scan someones status to get a full run down of thier abilities? This makes sense for the oracles (power class yada yada) but not for a random teacher to be able to see everything about Lykan so easily (this happened a couple of chapters ago and really threw me for a loop).
If scanning someone is something that quite a few can do why isn't more of society based around this powerful skill. Also why is Lykan immune to this, it's mentioned in like chapter one how nulls are exciled becasue they cant be truth read/scanned.
Thanks again for the cool read! - TurtlepeakRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I let myself be carried away more and more by the story. The story has some passages that were just too long. In my opinion, the character communications are a great strength of the author. But right here there is not enough of. Sometimes you have 15 chapters in which there is no communication between characters. The MC is too strong most of the time. The setbacks he experiences are well realized, until only 2 chapters later he is still OPer. The mental state of the MC is poor, but this is clearly intentional. The secondary characters were not given enough space which is a pity.
(excluded certain characters at the end )
Without spoiling I can only say: After each series of difficult chapters you get a series of very good ones, which make up for the previous ones.
Give the story time. It is worth it - G.K.SRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0This is my first reveiw and I am bad at writing so plz forgive my bad spelling and terrible grammer
This story has a lot of problems. I'm not saying it's bad but the way the story flows and how the main character acts feels very random like their is little if not no forthought put in to it. Now thats not to say it's all bad, but a lot of the power stucuere and the magic and skills isn't very consistant. It also isn't help by how its poorley explained. Also while the importance of the gods favor is kinda consistant the favor it's self changes a lot.
Ok so I rate this story 4 stars because I found it a good read even with it's flaws and while this reveiw dosn't really justify the rating I think that you should read a few chapters to at least give it a chance to show it's strenghs because I am very bad at putting them in to words. - QueSeaRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5Initially, I gave this 5 stars. The story was focused on Lykan and how he was making his way in the world. It was interesting and the pacing was good. The story was tight and focused. I was really enjoying it. After the academy arc, however, everything seems to have fallen off. The movement of the story has ground nearly to a stand still. The story has become unfocused as the story bounces around from character to character. Most of these bounces are little more than interludes and, as of the last 15ish chapters, interludes have started appearing which further slows progression and even further dilutes the story. The MC's personality seems to have faded to nearly nothing. All of the things that made him interesting seemed to be stripped away. It was nice to see a charismatic, good hearted protagonist who didn't seem to have the strict adherence to the hero having to be socially awkward that you see so frequently. He went from someone who formed many strong bonds to someone who inexplicably abondoned his companions with no explanation. Just baffling choices. I won't be continuing this story anymore.
- RasualRoyal Road★★★ 3.0Feels odd to read this its interesting even if the power ups are a bit sudden? They are at least explained well and not entirely plot armor giveith power. My main issue I think is that the speech habits is more of a xianxia feeling and by that it's got the "young master" or audience thoughts randomly being given input and random exposition that just seems tedious.
Solid idea though and I do also hope that the main character has more of a voice will continue reading but at present he doesn't really have any personality. - maclitRoyal Road★★★ 3.0Context: I really enjoyed this story through about chapter 65, at which point everything changes. Spoiler content will be marked. I am not sure if I can continue to follow this one, but will give it a little longer to decide.
Overall: I really enjoyed this one and binge read the first 50 chapters or so. The quality of the writing is good. The premise is straight forward, and I enjoy a good progression story. The characters have logical motives from their point of view. This is primarily single POV through the first 60 chapters.
Style: This is an action-oriented progression story following an OP MC who seeks to find his place in the world after he is exiled. The system is ok, but can be interfered with by the gods which makes it a little unbalanced. Still, the progression aspect follows a general accomplishment to reward format.
Grammar: The grammar is pretty solid for the first 50 chapters or so. Few typos and structural issues. These increase after this point, and although distracting does not make the story unreadable.
Story: The story starts out well, but changes later (see spoilers).
Characters: The MC is genuinely overpowered. He learns quickly and takes advantage of the opportunities presented to him. He is generally humble and hardworking with a focus on earning his gains. He is likable and for a younger protagonist his decision making is surprisingly logical. The supporting cast is huge and dynamic. They are well rounded and add significantly to the story.
The story suffers a massive shift around chapter 65. The characters change the way they act dramatically. Octavia, suddenly becomes spiteful and stupid. Lykan completely ignores opportunities to find out about his father or help his old home. Previously stated rules get contradicted. The normal accomplishment to earn a reward format gets broken through random insertion of plot devices. The tone of the story also changes from progression to straight up nerfing/harassing/tormenting t - NoissarRoyal Road★★★ 3.0The reading was floating from Good to Okay and back like riding a wave.
There as mentioned in other reviews issues that will affect your ability/want to read this based on your personal taste, that is all normal.
The thing I would personally consider the "killer" is as mentioned in other spots you go from have the dreaded interludeds pop-up then you get get POV chapters with a fairly substaintal change in the 'tone' of the the story. The number of POVs just start to feel like they will keep growing; with each POV being its own chapter. The issue is they are not ending with a satisfying feel or worse on an outright cliffhanger(!). Then you will notice or realise that to try and get some closure on that chapter you are going to need to go through at least 1 more perspective before that persons chapter will come up again.
Starting at ch76 that happens for 15 straight chapters. I wanted to speed read through some of the chapters force past that but then the smaller issues kick in, One of them being that the usage of names randomly gets messed up in such a way that I am forced to stop reading to figure out what is wrong. A non story example would be: "Bill watches Bill carfully as he make sure she does not hurt herself.".
There was also a line in the earlier chapters that is easy to know who is being talked about but refers to the person by a name I do not recall ever being used in the story to later in the same paragraph use the correct name. That may seem like a petty thing but if you are going full ruelette on POVs you need to absolutely on top of make each is identifed correctly at all times.
Unless there are fixs from appx. Chapter 40 onwards, The point I feel is where things start to slip and need to be thought through so that the futher chapters can be reorgainsed and/or rewritten. The most basic thing I would suggest is not allowing a perspective change for the next chapter if the first one ends in a cliffhanger. Have the bulk of any content the would not be cons
