Description

When you’re reincarnated as Naruto Uzumaki you do one of two things: cheer because you remember the story and are able to abuse your future knowledge, or realize that you’re in a world where they train child soldiers who throw fireballs and explosions around like candy and reasonably freak out. In a sense you’re either screwed or screwed but you know why.

I didn’t really read Naruto when I was a kid. However, had I known that it would be useful in death, I would have! And I’m certainly regretting it now!

————————————

A definiteAU for Naruto. I’m going to remove some parts and add some others for the sake of plot holes(so if something doesn't seem quite right it's probably intended... maybe), but I’ll try to stick to as close to how the Naruto-verse works. Also, say goodbye to canon!

Also, disclaimer, I do not own Naruto as that belongs solely to Kishimoto. I do, however, own this story.

Better than most of the stories I read on this site, really enjoying it so far so here's to more chapters

I have really been enjoying this one so far, although I'm not too far in yet. Main character's perspecitive is very entertaining. Very few grammar issues, which is a big point for me. Especially in fanfiction. There have been some Naruto fanfictions which were entertaining but had very painful grammar. This one does not have that issue.
I really like the idea of the main character in a reincarnation Naruto universe having only a very vague idea of the setting instead of a an encyclopedic knowledge of each nuance(EDIT) (It's not quite that but eh, still like it.)
Keep it up Writer! Thank you for posting your work here.

As far as Naruto fanfictions go, this one is above average. The characters are interesting in their own right, not just copies of the manga characters. Naruto's moral code is a little wonky. I think the author needs to decide if Naruto is going to be ruthless or not and stop flip flopping on it.
Dwight Schrute's review is wrong. The gay thing was a joke between the two characters. Naruto thought they were gay, but they aren't. It is pretty obvious if you have any reading experience whatsoever...

This is a full blown tragedy in the making.
Unlike most fanfictions the butterflies the MC causes have negative consequences or a lot of fanfics just consequences in general there is no railroading here, to the point it pretty rapidly becomes rather AU.
Although a lot of it is kinda hard to believe because of the age of the characters.
Seriously add a bit of a longer timeskip or a couple more timeskips to excuse the Naruto insert's and Hinata"s skills would really help a lot.
Making the first kills genin and a chunin and having the samurai do more would also help preserve the suspension of disbelief.
There is a bit to much introspection on whether or not he should be killing people and he never seems to come to a conclusion.
I liked it because he completely mucks up the timeline for the worse and is unlike most fics where the OP MC despite killing and saving people left and right still manages to hit all the stations of cannon.

Keep up the goodwork please! Having started my fiction reading from naruto fanfic, and reading 100s, this is by far in the top in terms of quality and idea.

Morbid and brutal at times, yet tastefully done.
This is the first fanfiction I've been interested enough to read, but from what I've heard, they don't tend to be consistent with the original. This one is.
The MC has imperfect observations and incomplete knowledge. Its the right mix of thoughts, actions and observations. Easy reading. The tone of the story is consistently a bit dark. It progresses perhaps too quickly... it would be nice to see more slice of life. The style suits the story although there's nothing special about it.
The MC takes a few nice parts from naruto's personality and blends it into a rough, almost brutal but protective kind of guy. He's not an idiot, but he also loses some of that unpredictable charm. His actions are both emotional and logical. He changes over time. The only hitch is that he's so young its hard to make sense of him at times.
The story seems quite deep. There are always things happening beyond the awareness of naruto and whoever's with him.
I don't remember any significant hitches from grammer, spelling, etc.
I've nocked down character because the dialogue almost all sounds like it comes from the same mouth. This is both in the wording and in how talkative they can be at times, when it doesn't really fit their character (kakashi, itachi...).
Yet these characters are much deeper than their dialogue. They act from their own motivations, using the incomplete knowledge that they have.
Its 27 chapters now and I get the sense its going to change and develop if it goes on for all that long. I'm excited to see how it does.

Otherwise, prepare to ask yourself questions like, “How can a 5 year old with little-to-no training draw a sword and kill a jounin?”
And how an entire arc built around mind control has the main character neatly forget about the chances of his friends being mind controlled despite knowing about the mind control and noticing that they're acting strange.
And the same moral arc (woe is me I have to kill people to stay alive so I'll feel bad about it until I get told not to feel bad about it or come to terms with it myself until I have to kill again) being rehashed constantly.
And the 3-year old Hinata being able to learn Shinobi abilities and copy a Nature Release after seeing it. And having discussions like a grown adult.
And the MC being 3-5 years old physically and an adult mentally, but feels brain damaged instead. Honestly, at times it feels like portions of his brain have just been scooped out and replaced with “stop and freeze” or “falling unconscious after a fight”.
And the entire story being based on an external power to the point it feels like Chakra is an afterthought.
Juat leave your standards and disbelief at the door and you'll have fine, but if you're looking for a good Naruto story, in my opinion this is not it.

It makes 0 sense. Somehow, the outcome of events are worse despite the existence of someone that already knows what's going to happen.
The characters act nothing like the manga/anime and random stuff is added to the events.
At this point just remove the mc's pointless monologue of "i think I remember this character", change the names of the character and call this fanfic: "I got isekaid in a ninja fantasy world"
