Description

My name is Jonathan Ross. I’m a normal guy from a normal town in the middle of the United States. There is nothing remarkable about me that would lead someone to take notice of me. I have no special talents that set me apart from anyone else — other than perhaps my overactive imagination.

Yet it's that imagination that brought me here, to Orth, a huge world full of magic and adventure. I am not the first from our world to have arrived here, and I will not be the last. Yet I write this as an account of my experiences here for anyone who might by chance end up in this place.

[Orth is a progression fantasy novel with wish fulfillment elements and an ever expanding world of adventure and political intrigue]

Edit 1: I have stuck around reading this. As the story has progressed, we have learned more about the setting. So far, it is quite interesting. Partly because it is different from most stories, and partly because it seems to build up towards some inverted gender roles, that could potentially be quite interesting, but could also turn out to be a huge problem for the story, depending on how it is managed.
The writing is still far ahead of the median of royal road. In terms of dialogue and plot, I'd rate it as good but not fantastic.
On another topic, I find it quite amusing that someone has taken the time to downvote the one review this fiction has.
    End of edit.

    First review:
This is just an early review for people checking this out before giving it a try. I will update this as further chapters are published.
The writing is ok. That puts this fiction way ahead of the stuff that sometimes reaches trending. I can't judge plot and characters yet, but grammar and flow is without real faults.
The setting is intriguing, the reader is left guessing due to both cultural differences and a language barrier.
Only thing that annoys me is that chapter cut-offs are based on word count rather than what works for the scene.
