Description

Power. Hunger. Death. The weight of lives upon shoulders. These aspects are only a few the world has to offer, yet each individually are more then enough to sway or blind a steady mind. How long can a life stay pure before transitioning into something else? Into something greedy, or selfish, weak or powerful. One who has lived more then a few full lives also contemplates such questions, long after the scent of blood had left his fingers. But when a interesting letter somehow finds it's way to Tzu's hidden home, a new hunger for these answers are rejuvenated. And with it, come his first steps back into the world.

[Original 29/06/2022 - Minor edit made on the 25/11/2024]
Ho-ho, this is the first one of your longer peices I've finished!
Considering how frequently we comment on each other's stuff, I'd love to say I have an eassy to put here but on this occasion I don't really😅.
That's not a bad thing however.
I really enjoyed this novel, it plays to those Romeo & Juliet architypes in an interesting way - It has your usual fun and palatable style of world-building and is generally very polished😄.
It's the sort of fun little piece I'd happily keep on my bookshelf if that makes any sense?
Ya know, just a nice light book, well written that you could re-read quite happily time and again, probably finding more to like about it on each read through😊👍.
There's also definitely massive room for sequels, I can totally imagine a sorry set shortly after this where the differences between the top city and the bottom final come to odds with one another - Maybe a war, or perhaps a revolution spured by Cynthia who could be seen as a martyr, etc.
    Definitely lots of interesting possiblities😄😁.
Having now also gone throught the paperback I would highly recommend that to anyway reading this - The mosaic sketches are fun and the cover looks very proffesional with some added trivia stuff at the back for good measure😄😊.

That's the feeling this story gave me. It exudes youthful innocence. And I love it. It does paint a sad reality of the two worlds, but the author's design of how the events unfold and how the two mc's react made me feel all warm and fuzzy. Thank you for completing this work, author! I very much enjoyed it. It's pretty short, but you managed to deliver it well and give it a satisfying ending. I also like the fact that you provided clues about some characters without revealing too much. Or too little. They're enough to help the reader figure out how to make of the characters, but left some room for the imagination. I'm specifically referring to Andrew.
