Onslaught.

Everything, be it good or bad, comes to an end, just as VRMMO Onslaught which was both the most popular and immersive game known in 2067. Having more freedom than any other game of that time it offered players a chance to become something that was not yet possible in real life, Explorer. The players could be of one from around a hundred different species and their variations, including some that were clearly of fantasy origins besides simple aliens, like undead, spirits or regular parasitic aliens.

Unfortunately the game had quite a broken balance, which favored those of skill or those with enough money, but even in this case it was rather popular. But it was over thirty years ago. Now Onslaught was going to close, and with it the new story would be born, though no one told the players about it...

This story was influenced by "Crushed into fantasy", "Overlord" and some other stories which names I already forgot... Side project, will be updated slowly.
