Prologue

In the world of Elba, you don’t get to choose your class any more than you can choose the colour of your hair, or who your siblings are; it is just the hand you are delt. Sometimes it is a good hand, more often… it isn’t, but there are always a few individuals, individuals who manage to rise above the hand they are delt. I would like to think that I am one of those individuals… but every so often I have doubts, serious doubts.
