*Set in the BattleTech Universe*

The year is 3062 and a small mercenary unit is deployed to the periphery edge of the Draconis Combine on behalf of a local government.  Their problem?  The usual - Pirates.  Their job: eliminate the threat and restore peace to the world of Kokpekty.  But the unit sorely mistakes these bandits for ill prepared and underequipped marauders.Our hero, Michael 'Cutter' Clayne is a pilot of some skill and he brings along with him his person Clan Omnimech - an Adder.  Outfitted with the latest in cutting edge clanner tech, he is a very deadly warrior, but outmatched and outgunned, he is going to need some luck getting out of their first engagement alive, let alone if their company can even complete the mission.
