This is the first review I’ve typed up and I’ll make it succinct; in the beginning the characters seem kind of one dimensional, but that gives the author time to make them distinct people, each of which have their own motivations.  These characters grow, and the MC actually starts making those hard decisions that too many LITRPG MCs don’t (took him long enough).  The LITRPG aspect is great as there is both a Western Component, but growth is mostly based on using a skill and understanding it beyond mechanical repetition.
For people who don’t like harem, you aren’t going to like this, but I appreciate the fact that his wives do their own thing and try to get stronger on their own.
The best compliment I can give the author is that you can see, clearly, that he has a good idea/outline of most of this story already, everything seems purposeful.  This includes the side chapters that I didn’t enjoy as much, initially, but these became quite enjoyable once I saw these as great means to convey character growth and to show what’s going on in the wide universe.  I look forward to meeting more of the characters introduced in these side chapters.
It’s also good for people who are looking for something meaty, something that will take some time.  Also, the social media forum/chat room chapter was friggin awesome.

This has got to be one of the most original stories I've read in a while. It has combinations of rpg and rts story modes along with a bit of reality to bring us back down to earth. The mc is one of many humans who have been selected to help protect the "material Earth" from outside influences. He has to protect and grow his "astral" territory from enemies so that he can become strong enough for when the big bad dudes show up.
I find this a fascinating story. It is one that really scratches that itch that screams for action as well as kingdom building.
The story is now up to chapter 43 and is growing increasingly interesting. The author is cranking out five chapters a week and says he has plenty more where that came from. I encourage anyone who loves a good book to try this one out. It is definitely worth your time.

I don't think anyone would argue when I say this is not a literary masterpiece; there are lots of cliches, plot contrivances, unrealistic characters/reactions etc....
Having said this though, it is a fun romp to read. Know going in you are gonna get cringe wish fullfilment quite frequently, strange non-sequeter character decisions and growth, lots of tropes and some effort ot be self-aware about those; but overall it is quite fun.
But one thing to the author; if you ever go back to change things, please heavily consider this:
For the love of god, get rid of the whole sequence of Akio talking to Haru about 'confronting her rapist' and proceeding to do so. All that stuff. It came off as so slimey and unealistic I seriously considered dropping the story because of it. Some topics can't be addressed without perspective and definitly not in that bull in a china shop way. I do not think there is any way for it to come accross well in the context of this story and if this ever gets bigger and gets a wider bunch of readers, its gonna turn a huge number of them off the story.

Just wow. Starts off slow build some builds but it's always there getting better and better. Some chapters are too long some chapters are too short on content but overall it's quite entertaining. Character development is awesome plot has some good twists and turns and keeps you entertained but sometimes it's too slow really too slow another times the good stuff is just too short.

Very good world, and power system. A very good progression story. It contains action, base building, romance, nsfw and more. They are mixed in such a way that this is a very good popcorn story. cant wait for more chapters.
The best thing is that the characters are not stupid and they all do reasonable things. Also, all the setups are also not cliche.

I did stumble upon your story, liked it at first and loved it later on.
Style: The Style of the Novel gets 4 1/2 Stars for me. Astral World, A MC with  Desire but uses Power but doesnt get arrogant or Cold. Only confidence in himself.
Story: The Story is very good, as while it Kingdom Building, it has no Report like view on it and only minior Genre. In the flow of the Story, we see People who use their Power without any care for others, how the government, and other countries, react and how the MC growm from a poor man to someone who can change the future of the World.
Grammer: Well Grammar mistakes are almost none, or so minior that you forgot them in reading the Novel. The Author has a high pace of writing Chapter, with 2000+ word per Chapter.
Character: The Character are really lifelike. A MC who is true to his Words, but not unchangeable. He does the best with what he has and belives in helping People with the Power he has. He doesnt go after to very Person that needs his Help, but he helps his friends and these he comes across when in need. He has gained much and is willing to share as he has enough.
Final Words: ShipTeaser that Novel of yours is a Masterpiece for me. With these Genres that it has, it needs at least 700 Chapters, if not more, to let it fully Bloom. The Novel has no Plotholes, grammar Mistakes or sudden Character changes. It has a Great Flow, with smooth and logical scene changes. Just continue writing your Novel, and dont forget to take a break every now and then. Your Novel, and you, have my Full Support (In form of Love!)

I accidentally came across this story and decided to read it and leave a review with comments. "On Astral Tides: From Humble Freelancer To Astral Emperor" by ShipTeaser.
The story initially captured my attention and showcased the power of the main character, but in reality, things are not as simple as they seem. The beginning of the story is interesting and intriguing as it introduces a new astral world and its inhabitants. The author has a fairly unique writing style, but there are a few shortcomings.
A major flaw, in my opinion, is the main character's attitude towards the lives of others. Normally, Valkyries choose warriors, and although everything can be different in this world, there is something wrong with the main character's approach to life, even if he is a resident of a peaceful country. By doing so, he presents himself more as a saint or superhero. [It should be understood that a considerable amount of time has passed since the time difference between the worlds he visited and the battles with intelligent beings.]
Personally, I find it excessive that the main character sympathizes with another character who caused the deaths of his students and the severe injuries to his first wife. His behavior raises questions. There is a higher probability that he would stay away from the person who caused these tragedies and unlikely to show pity or a desire to "help," even for the sake of the father. It seems that the main character enjoys playing the role of the "knight in shining armor" who shows compassion to everyone.
His critical point of action arises when someone close to him is suffering, or justifying it by the fact that it is for his harem and others, and lately, he doesn't do anything alone.
The harem in the story loses its uniqueness and becomes more like the main character being a "playboy." With the introduction of the third girl, something feels off. His attention towards the first one seems weaker than necessary at times. With the appearance of multip

A very well written and exciting story with excellent grammar and flow.  It keeps me interested and eagerly awaiting each new chapter.  I am not usually a fan of alternate PoV chapters, but organizing them as side stories is smart, and they remain focused around interactions with the MC. One of the best writers I've encountered on RR.

I will not go over the story premise, since that is what the summary is there for. But regarding my experience reading (binging) this story for the last couple weeks:
The story is pretty great, the sheer amount of it deserves a shout out as well. And that is important because of, perhaps, the main point that makes this story outstanding for me, the pacing.
Some might have other ideas on what good pacing is. However, for me, I really enjoy that this story is diverging of the, oh so common, trend to just make the MC an absolute powerhouse ready to take on the entire multiverse, if given time, on the first couple chapters. No, here we see a character building himself, his holdings and those around him up over time, one step at a time. This may put off some people, as it won't be a quick hit of face-slapping "You know who I am?!?!?" dopamine, rather this is an immersive story for those that want to delve into the world, theorize with the characters and see what is hiding in the obscure corners of its system and world.
Speaking of which, since the previous paragraph covered most points of why the Overall score and Story score, I would like to talk about Characters and the JP bent  this story has:
As with many stories of the genre, we have a, at first glance, Generic-kun japanese young adult being thrown into a mystical situation as our Main Character. And he isn't a psychopath! (Unnusual for the genre, I know) Why do I say that? Because it means that, like a normal japanese nobody, that, fortunately, has at least the guts to face this world end scenario head on, he is a pushover and doesn't know how to deal with anything more high level than paying rent on time. Aka, he is a Beta, a Good Guy ™, a Simp a webnovel reader, and other such negative traits. And that is frustrating indeed.
However, that is basically all I would have to complain about in terms of characters, and it has to be exalted how it is incredibly rare that any situation even makes me suspect it might be o

I like the charater development and the world building.  Overall its been one of better series I have read on RR in the last 3 years.  The main character is likeable and does not start overpowered.  Mistakes are made but he actually learns from them.  The world keeps expanding as his power level progresses adding more challenges.  This story hs great long term potential.
