Omnipotents
Community Rating
Description
A rent has opened in our reality, drenching a city in power and energy, attracting dozens of the planet's most powerful people to its pull. These people, often called Sensitives, wield immense, seemingly supernatural control over all forms of energy, and they're not often inclined to play nice with each other. Follow a huge cast of POV characters, from regular people newly awakened to their powers to immortal demigods, as each of them vies for control and survival. This is not a game with a runner-up prize; only one person will be allowed to remain standing in the end, and whoever manages that feat will be left with the power of a god. They will be, functionally, omnipotent.
Updates every week on Fridays at 9 AM CT.
[Omnipotentsis a long-form, ensemble action progression story with some apocalyptic elements. It will contain severe language, adult themes, and graphic violence].

- ThousandEyedFoolRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0As much as I love independently-created web-animations featuring decade-old indie games, I would say my heart lies in the realm of web serials. That is to say, I would consider myself to be very fortunate in this moment.
This is a creator who knows how to do character writing. This is a creator who knows how to set off fireworks under a cast of misfits. This is a creator who isn't afraid to do terrible things to those misfits.
What I've read thus far does nothing but confirm those claims. Needless to say, I am very excited. - xanthianRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Note: I am reading in progress so have finished Act 1
Style: The writing places us directly in the character's emotions in a visceral manner. The word choice tickles deep into my brain as my body is submersed into the flow of the scene. There is an emphasis on little details that speak volumes. I have noted some of the sentence structure can be repetitive, but Act 1 chapters are aimed at a certain emotional journey that caters to such a structure. Excited to read more.
Story: So far, so good. There's the hints of something bigger than the pieces coming towards me. At the same time the individual beats are hitting hard, each chapter could be it's own vignette. That kind of story present in the best episodic writing, where one can be satisfied with just a single episode, yet still the framework for a season's arc is steadily growing.
Grammar: I lack the refinement to use proper technical writing terms. So I will instead say; It is not distracting. Reading feels smooth. I do not have to reread parts to understand, only to enjoy.
Character: I'm here for it, there's a diversity of characters here that feels fresh and new. The ensemble is coming together and the individual characters ring true in their feelings, fears, and motivations. A hard thing to achieve given the diversity present.
