I like the balance of descriptiveness and ambiguity the author has given towards the "spirit magic" aspect, as it gives me the opportunity to fill in the blanks. I like how the abilities are shown, used, and it gives me various ideas about how the MC's ability could be used.
Overall, I like the story and how sickeningly good the MC is, though I am concerned about how he will act when things pick up and if he has to heart to fight for what is his.
Though I am confused with the description of the academy, Oak mentioned that all the MC would need to do is pass the entrance exam, yet when he gets to the city with the academy suddenly he doesn't even apply because you need to pay an expensive fee and the academy is only reserved for nobles. Seems to be a disconnect there for me.

Pretty good story. I like the MC, he does seem age appropriate in his interaction, though would love him to be a little bit more currning, ambitious, selfish lol.
Still the premise is interesting. I don't know why it why it was dropped. There are worse books here still going.
