Description

The Light and Dark Pantheons have been at war for eternity. Each with their own gods, the followers of the Pantheons wield spectacular powers in the name of their gods. To break the latest era of uneasy peace, Solarius the god of Light, Might, and Wisdom has decided to send a son down to Earth to lead the Light Pantheon in a war to drive the Dark Pantheon from the continent. Vesperos the god of Darkness, Secrets, and Fear hatches a plan to counter Solarius by using his power to create his own son.

Vesperos plans to infuriate Solarius by planting his own son into the same mother that Solarius has chosen. Furious, but unable to do anything without risking his own son, Solarius is unable to stop Vesperos's plan. With a son of light and a son of darkness born to the same mother, an age of war is ushered into a world that has been waiting for the one thing that could tip the balance in the favor of their Pantheon. With the powers of Gods at their fingertips, the brothers who wish for nothing more than to be the friends they grew up as are forced to fulfill their destiny to become arch enemies and lead their respective Pantheons to a war unlike any has seen in millennia.

A complex blend of magic, mythology and conflict. The initial chapters show a great start with a richly crafted world and intriguing characters, and a compelling overarching plot. Personally, I really like the whole theme of 'the consequences of war'. I think that the story shows great potential, so keep up the good work!

This guy writes a damn interesting story. I believe this will be a novel to keep an eye out for. I will be tuning in to see how Sorin/Quin's adventure goes.
Style Score: The story is pretty straightforward and stylistically very easy to follow. There are no crazy page-long stat pages, which I can appreciate. This is just plain good writing.
Story Score: I like that the element of the rival gods gives the character a handicap and doesn’t immediately allow them to speed run through the plot. The story itself develops pretty naturally. The sibling aspect does add to the layered feeling of the story.
Grammar Score: Grammar is on point, and this guy edits. There are some very minor things. Honestly, for grammar, as long as it's not like web novels, I'm okay with it.
Character Score: I like the main characters. Not too arrogant, but not a bumbling idiot. The progression from what I have seen in the chapters I have read also shows some character growth. What would you do if your bro was destined to be the one that would bring your doom? The two brothers play off of each other very well. They seem different enough for me to see two separate voices
