Oh Arceus, I'm a Pokemon! Now What?

Description
Pokeballs have rules and everybody, human and pokemon alike, knows them; some balls are good for using at night, others for in the water, others work better on certain Types. Better models simply catch pokemon better. In every case, there are things that pokeballsdonotdo. Pokeballs can be resisted, they're never 100% successful. And theydon'twork on humans.
Right?Right?
Lux is in a bit of a pickle. She came into contact with an eevee and strange pokeball all at once, and... that's where things went terribly wrong. Now she's not quite sure who she is, what she is or where she's going, but by gum is she going to make that everybody else's problem.
Fourteen pounds of the world's cutest fluff is on a mission. Arceus help us all.
A not-so serious fun jaunt through the pokemon world from both the humans' and pokemon point of view. Switches between 1st and 3rd, but you'll get how it goes.
Update update: Lookit! The cover! Lookit! done by the incredibly gracious Chandler, you can probably find them @bumblingtwit on twittr

- LiteraryWhoRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0But still a lot of fun.
The story feels very "fast and loose" in its construction, but mostly holds itself together regardless. That said, if the author has any sense about themselves (assuming they haven't died or abandoned writing for good), they should start thinking about how to end the story.
Not every poke-fic needs to take us all the way through to the championship. Traveler already pretty much perfected that story arc, but it left plenty of room in its wake for *other* kinds of pokemon stories. This is (or could be) one of them, and in some way, the "standard affair" is actually getting in the way of the best part of this story. The two human trainers are great and all, but what sets this story apart is Lux, and her bizarre adventure (to put it cheekily).
I'm much more interested in seeing Lux's situation resolve than I am in seeing yet another socially maladjusted battle prodigy or two take the league by storm. If I wanted that plot, I'd just replay any mainline pokemon game.
Anyway, all that asides, I rather enjoyed. It looks like the author might have given up, but they've been away for a long time before and come back, so I'm hopeful they will again.
If you're like me, and you were a little iffy on this based on the synopsis, don't be. It has a few scenes that alone are worth the price of admission, not even counting the rest of the story, which is quite worthwhile itself. - Ran890Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Pretty nice, because of how the story is told and the way all the characters go learning of each other. Also let's not forget the mystery of how did Lux transform into an Eevee which gets better and better the more the story continues. Still haven't finished it yet but i'll keep going 'till the end.
- AzurebladeRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Like the title says, the story follows the perspective of a human turned pokemon (it's more likely than you think), her trainer, his sister, both teams, and a few friends along the way in something that greatly resembles the feel of the early anime and the plot of the games. Throw in a bit of the 'realism' from the manga, and you have an exciting adventure that doesn't take itself too seriously.
POV is split between 1st person perspective of the 'MC' and agent of chaos Lux, the titular human turned pokemon and 3rd person for everyone else, but its not terribly hard to follow.
The only real complaint I have is that the evolution stages for everyone on the team get jumbled occasonally which makes it a bit confusing at times. - Dinomight2Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5What could I say, I read the chapters that was available and was intrigued by it.
You follow an ex-human now Eevee with a penchant of getting herself into situations that are in, and sometimes out, of her control and getting into trouble because of it. What I love about this that the 'MC' is not created for wish fulfilment, and generally her situation is complicated due to the fact she has only fragmented memories of current and past lives. Add a bit of identity crisis into the mix, and you have a sympathetic character we can relate to.
The characters are also fantastic due to the fact they are not the side show to the main, that even their decisions impact the story as well. The multiple POVs helped this story immensely, making the story well paced and intresting to read.
I hope this story will grow well, that the characters get more fleshed out as time goes on. Also that Lux will answer life's hardest question... who am I? Or maybe she will not answer it at all, who knows? - rrname12321Royal Road★★★★ 3.5Kind of an oddball story since it feels all over the place. Think if this was way more focused I would continue this. Lots of POV changes, and the MC is also strange since the story cannot decide if the MC is a pokemon or a person in a pokemon?
