- DabossUnberogenRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The book was far better than I expected, considering how new it is. I'm glad that it seems that although it is not LitRPG, people are still reading it. Always nice to see. The story is set in a classic fantasy world, with a overarching theme revolving around magic. It has some progression aspects as well though, but they are pretty light. Perhaps that is why it has been receiving acclaim. In any case, all of the aspects blend well.
The style was clear and concise, and it accurately depicted what the author wanted. There were no moments where I struggled to understand something, and it was generally well done.
The story was magnificent, with rich world building and a well thought out backstory. I enjoyed experiencing the life of people in the world, and it was entirely realistic. This aspect of the book was the best by far.
The grammar was perfect as far as I could tell, and I did not notice any glaring flaws.
The characters were realistic and possessed depth, and they acted like people actually would in a situation rather than just being some plot device. I enjoyed experiencing things from their perspective, which is the mark of a good story.
All in all, a great read, and one that deserves even more attention than it has.
