Of love and murder

Alex Miller is a detective who has been assigned to a case that doesn't seem to be an easy one: a mysterious murder in which the victim didn't have any enemies, so at first sight it's hard to guess who could have committed such a horrible crime. However, as Alex digs deeper and deeper, he begins to find holes in the investigation, which he'll prove to be very capable of filling with the right answer, although it is not going to be easy to rebuild the facts from the scarce evidence there is and the long and tedious interrogatories in which none of the witnesses seemed to be willing to compromise too much. However, using his intuition, Alex little by little starts to build up this puzzle by himself, one which will surely leave him exhausted and surprised, at least, at the end of it.
