This story is about:A group of friends finding themselves thrust into unfortunate circumstances and working together to make the best of it all.

This story began as a fun way for me to leverage my love of writing into something I could share with those close to me - a character or two was modelled after people I know in real life. Not only does that allow me to have an easy to write character or two (not calling the inspiration basic, just well-known), it also guaranteed me an editor, which I find very useful.

But now I have you guys, and I'm so excited to bring you joy, laughs, or just a minor bit of entertainment while you wait for the bus! I write both for my own satisfaction at watching a scene come together and for those who would enjoy this work as much as I have enjoyed others in the past.

**Violence and gore are present in this fiction, as well as touching on racial (species) issues from time to time. This isn't a racist blood bowl, but neither will it shy away from those topics. This is a fiction for adults.

Starts off slow with minimal raccoons but then delivers with many raccoons.
Could use more George though, that guy seems really cool and I bet
Nimbus is a very fluffy boy.
Seriously though if you like a progression fantasy but get bored with one main character being a powerhouse or being stuck in there "class", Of Hearth and Home delivers a steady stream of cool characters and abilities with relatable personalities.

If you’re enjoying the first few chapters, just wait because it gets even better. The characters are relatable and very well written. The pace of the story is great. It keeps you on your toes but gives attention and time to the moment that need it. I would highly recommend this read!

The start of this story is incredibly relatable, Mitchell's care for his partners extra sleep and Johns concern for Sarah help establish the relationships immediately in their own ways, the two different in aspects but to the core still built off of love and care for their partner. George and Nimbus' follow the same rule, showing the characters immediate concern and overall care for his pet.
The characters themselves have distinct personalities with their own strengths and drawbacks and all seem to have vast potential to grow and change under the new system.
Incredibly refreshing to read a story that shares the spotlight amongst such a varied cast and can't wait to read more of it!

Not super far in but what I have read so far the characters are interesting and seem to have a lot of room to grow and change. I enjoy the system elements and look forward to learning more about the mounts, pets, as well as the different items that are going to be in play. Furthermore the author he mentioned a settlement building element and I am very much a sucker for apocalypse settlement builder especially if it seems geared toward fleshing out the different characters and having them grow and who knows what interesting classes they will have and the interesting ways each party members skills will intermingle.
