Description
So you've reincarnated into a fantasy world with game-like elements such as statuses and levels and ect. cliché right? Well so thought Robert until he had to do it all over again, but this time he wasn't really happy with how things went last time.
Follow as Robert changes his name, his class and even his very race all in the search for just a little of his own warped sense of justice after waking up once more in the same world only twenty years later. If only his enemies had left well enough alone.
Though in the end did they do so because there was something else underneath it all?

- OtterlySaltyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The story as a whole is great and memorable piece of fantasy litrpg.
I like the Main Character and I enjoy that there are different point of views that are not too long. There is some funny and wholesome moments that make good contrast to the darker and gloomier parts of the story.
The System has depth and is not as restrictive as one might think at first, The Character sheets being their own chapters is a huge plus.
I highly recommend this story to anyone that like necromancer stories as it is extremely well done here. - Redeyes EclipseRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I enjoyed every moment of this novel I find the mc somewhere relatable with his emotions and ty.
- JAM_91Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is the best necromancer/anti-hero story I’ve ever read, period. The characters aren’t forced at all and the justification for the conflict feels real. The worlds background is flushed out and sets up interesting overarching themes that lead you to want more. The grammar is always spot on and if there is a mistake the author is quick to correct it. If you want a break from the over saturated hero gets summone hero beats demon king hero gets harem story read thus. And even if your not sick of them still read this. It’s really good.
- KyeRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Let me just say, for how long this story is and how much work has clearly been put in this is criminally underrated.
I can tell that this story should be a bit hit or miss for most people, let me just say the start is wonderfully average with minor issues and it picks up a ton later on.
The main character is betrayed and clearly not mentally stable, he is represented as someone quite creative and caring when he wants to be, I won't give any spoilers because I believe most people should read a bit to see what they think first.
There is a ton of unanswered questions and mysteries going on and the former some might not like, I do but that's down to personal preference mainly.
Overall, what's my opinion?
It's pretty damn good, and I'm aware that's subjective and that you could point out multiple issues with the story (mainly talking about the giant (troll?) little plotline.
but you should read without nitpicking too much (a little nitpicking is healthy) and once again this is hit or miss, you will either agree with my review or completely disagree with it, but I like to think that most people agree that with nearly 800 pages of work and a first book done, (and a second on the way) 100 followers compared to some other fictions is seriously a crime.
Edit 1: Now that the show is back on the road for book 2, I figured it was a good time to give an extra little bit to my original review.
The main character is summoned as a hero and betrayed by his goddess, his soul is thought to be destroyed but is saved at the last second. Saved, but not unharmed.
This leads to him being mentally unstable since his soul is thoroughly in tatters, the story takes many [and I mean many] elements from recognisable games like Dungeons and Dragons, he pretty much channels his creativity and fantasy ideas from earth into the undead he creates.
I'm pretty sure that's what the author was going for too, I'm also a big fan of the vampire nobility portion of the story that is starting up. I've always l - vervannaRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5its hard to find a great story that is written well and not rushed i love your work great job lob dob make more stories it it it it it it it it it it it it it it it it it it it it it it it it it it it it ititi
- Deep LurkerRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0I am leaving this review so this fiction will get a little more attention. While currently it only has 9 chapters, I have been enjoying it so far. While I feel a little more character development/nuance is needed, this is fairly early in, so it can be forgiven. I look forward to seeing how this goes, and hope it doesn't fall into the same pitfalls other, similar fictions have before it.
- ValentineNRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0It's a different take on the isekai revenge theme. Not bad, but could be better. The build doesn't make a lot of sense making the whole litrpg part seem redundant.
To explain: He's building himself as a regular mage, casting spells combined with melee combat, something natural in that world. However, he's a necromancer creating minions who will make up the bulk of his force.
So, to me this doesn't make sense. If you aim to challenge a kingdom, then massive armies are the way to go. Leading from the front only works when you've got someone else to pick up the slack when you inevitably get an arrow through the eye.
The second issue is the shadow magic. He's using it as some kind of elemental magic. It could've very well been fire, water or whatever. If you have shadow and stealth then that should be an assassin build or some kind of Shadowguard or something similar ...
So ... he's got the potential to take down a kingdom by massive armies or asssassinating their leaders, yet ... he's just a necromantic shaodwy warrior with bony pets. - CpzombieRoyal Road★★★ 3.0I had to really push myself to keep reading through the start: the grammar definitely could use another check and it felt like it was trying to be a silly Marvel movie. Constant jokes that didn't land for me (including pausing in the middle of fights to make them), tons of things that don't really make sense, etc. Luckily, most of that ends by chapter 8/9 and it switches to a more fitting feel for a story that starts with betrayal. The MC pretty much immediately becomes OP after that; it's up to personal taste whether that's a good thing or not.
My main problem with the story after that is the MC. He constantly whines like a child despite being over 30 years old, and he's an ungrateful brat. He gets tons of great gifts that any reasonable person would love to have and then complains if they come with the slightest cost. A couple examples from the start:
He's offered gifts from the beings that revive him and told there's a level penalty for taking more than one, and then he yells at them when he starts at level -9 because he took all of them. He gets tons of OP gifts and complains about something that can be fixed in a couple fights??? And then soon after that he almost dies because he's weak, so somebody gives him very effective free training (knowing a dangerous event is about to happen, no less)... so what does he do? Thank him? Offer to pay him back in the future? At least be happy about getting free power, which he desperately needs? Nope! He constantly complains about it being difficult and tries to run.
That kind of thinking / behavior doesn't change, at least to the point which I've read. He also has been constantly whining about not wanting to harm innocents as well as being a general idiot (saying he has to hide and then blatantly exposing himself repeatedly, forgetting to check loot, etc).
Despite all that, I still think it deserves a three. There's a bunch of cool Norse stuff, the MC is a necromancer, and I respect the author for having stuck with the sto
