Numbers Don't Lie

For as long as I can remember, I've seen numbers floating above other people's heads. Everyone has one - parents, friends, teachers - and usually they're low. Eventually I figured out what they meant: danger. The man robbing a bank on TV? 6. Soldiers in modern war documentaries? 7.Thankfully, high numbers seemed to not be part of my daily life.Until today. Today I met my first 10 and set events in motion that will change my life forever.-----Why is there no 'Mystery' tag?Written for fun for friends based on an old r/writingprompt.
