Northern God

Besieged on all sides, a small village in the northern wastelands looked to have no hope of survival.

And yet, nobody gave up, for they believed that their imaginary god would save them.

The invaders laughed coldly as the gates of the city were torn down and hundreds of soldiers rushed in, ready to loot and rape.

As the high priest saw this, he heaved a sigh as he put his own body down onto the altar, took out a knife, and stabbed his own heart with a strangely peaceful look on his face.

As despair appeared on the villager's faces, all of the priests cried out as they saw a small, weak light raise from the high priest's chest...

This was the birth of a god, the birth of a nation, and the birth of a new future.
