Nightmare Paradise: Starting as a Doctor is not the first litRPG I’ve read, but it’s one of the few I enjoyed. Focusing on the details of its setting, it shows its main character progressing with painstaking concentration, conveying every relevant factor of his story to the readers clearly and concisely.
The author prioritises the most important parts of the story during the story, letting the prose be a vehicle to deliver the action, occurrences and information that actually matters to the type of narrative the writer is trying to weave. Unlike many authors on this site who display a level of unsureness, constantly changing styles and flow from chapter to chapter and even mid chapter at times, the author of Nightmare Paradise finds a voice from the very start and sticks with it.
At no point was I bored reading this story, which is an achievement given its heavy focus on grinding, because the writer manages to constantly leave their reader with more questions- bringing attention to every little advantage Lyn- the protagonist- gets and exploring its synergy with others in creative and intuitive ways.
In short, it’s a fun and surprisingly clever read that essentially boils LitRPG down to its best elements and leaves little to nothing unnecessary remaining. “Efficient” I would say is the best way to describe this piece of entertainment, and entertaining it most certainly is!

A story with a great start.
I am thoroughly enjoying this story, and I find myself delighting in its intriguing premise. The grounded and descriptive style of the style, devoid of excessive embellishment, allows the story to unfold in a refreshingly straightforward and engaging manner.
The overall pacing of the story is commendable, as it gradually escalates, unveiling more details about the world and keeping me hooked. The steady rhythm maintained throughout builds tension and excitement, effectively propelling the plot forward.
Furthermore, I must applaud the attention to grammar, as I did not notice any noticeable issues. The seamless flow of the prose adds to the immersive reading experience, allowing me to fully immerse themselves in the story without any distractions.
The characters did not have enough opportunities to show potential, one area that could benefit from further development is the character interactions. While the protagonists show intriguing potential, their personalities would greatly benefit from more fleshing out through meaningful interactions. By delving deeper into their thoughts, emotions, and relationships.
In summary, this story exhibits great potential with its engaging premise of survival in different dungeons. With more emphasis on character depth and world-building, this story has the opportunity to truly shine.

Pretty good book that could use some polish to really pop, but until then it is an easy 4 star book.
Really fun universe being created here and can be expanded on to be something great in the future for sure.
MC is very interesting and the way powers work is both entertaining and interesting to see progress.
Only issue is that things don't feel as flued to me as it should, but that will probably come with time. Most things iv come across seems iffy, but they get explained or shown to a satisfactory degree within a chapter or 3. The MC being a Doctor makes it a automatic + .5 star as bonus for me for entertainment :D
No whiny or emo MC is always a bonus in my book!
Grammer and everything is on point for the most part.
    Keep it up!

Style: The pacing of this story is very well-made, as the author tells you what you need to know without needing to explain the obvious. The foreshadowing is a nice touch, and every time something comes up that seems like it will be important later, there's a sense of suspense about the thing that is kept consistent up until we learn more about it. I did have a few issues with the game system aspect of this LitRPG, mostly concerning the unconventional ways of XP, but fortunately, these issues don't detract from the story at all.
Story: One of the more interesting aspects of this LitRPG is that the MC seems to have an active connection to his previous life. While not a full interaction can be had, it isn't the usual case of a person becoming someone else and then dropping the old persona entirely. The first few chapters set up the stakes in this deadly game the MC finds himself in, and it is enjoyable to watch him level up and slowly become more powerful as he fights his way through a zombie-infested hospital.
Grammar: The frequent switching between past and present tense feels a bit jarring, but it could be a stylistic choice. If so, a more consistent and identifiable difference between the segments could make it seem intentional and not erroneous.
Character: To be honest, I didn't care much for the main character, as not much insight is given into his personality. He tends to follow the action, and we don't get many reactions or thoughts from him outside of what he thinks his next course of action should be. While not an outright negative, I would have liked a bit more of his inner monologue so that we could see who this person is and find some reasons to root for him in this story.

This is a chinese system webnovel either written in english or translated. I dont really have another name for this specific genre so thats what im calling it. I may be wrong and this specific genre may originated elsewhere but i dont think so.
Its well written, though it does suffer from strict adherence to the chinese system webnovel genre. Thankfully it doesnt suffer from the face slapping games most chinese webnovels have. It isnt long running enough to deterime if it suffers from the same mistakes many chinese webnovels make.
While this has litrpg elements I wouldnt call it a litrpg, it is a system novel through and through. This might be a meaningless distinction to those who havent read chinese webnovels before, it is important.
I would say keep up the good work, maybe read some more foreign books and try to mix up the tropes and make them your own.  im going to list a few novels that really make the tropes fresh and original feeling
    vainqueur the dragon
    Stray Cat Strut
    The daily grind.
Id reccomend tvtropes if you want more info on them.
I guess my view of the genre. Is i get bored of most novels after 300-400 chapters, hope thst doesnt happen here.

Cool start and theme, especially the unique horror setting giving I'm not the Demon God's Lackey Vibes. Do not expect however anything revolutionary as it is a novel clearly meant for enthusiasts of eastern style writing which carries with it many of its pros and cons. However if you want to read something with a spooky theme and have your cognition used to the chinese writing style it is a prefect read.

Honestly im not good at writing reviews so i just briefly mentioned the main points of this story without spoiler.
Mc is a typical dimensional traveller from Earth so immersion is already set for me. The main theme of the story so far seems like a mix between the Infinite genre, Lord of the mysteries and SCP with a focus on mc becoming a doctor in this weird and seemingly ordinary world full of extraordinary horrors.
Although mc quickly transformed into a badass monster slayer he didn't completely gone mad and doing murderhobo or psycho stuff which is a plus for me, read enough psycho mc who just do it even if not unavoidable.
(june 30) edit : from 4,5 to 4 beacuse the story progression is too slow ,that alone would not be a problem if we got some compensation in the form of world building / character interactions / charater development but these also fall into the same category . The main charater feels way too much a cheap android when interacting with anyone in the recent chapter (100+)  and  i could not stop mentioning again that this could super good if we got some more world building or better charater interactions.
When i started reading this initialy it was awsome and got me hooked but as the story progressed (or not) i just got a feeling ,what happened that makes me want to read or search for another novel?
maybe i have too much expectations since i read almost all popular infinite flow novels and western fanatsy + sequence novels .
I still recommend it , it could be feelt that the author put a lot of effort into the story its just i have too much expectations for this one.  (maybe the next novel or later chapters will get better)

I honestly do not understand why this has more than 4 stars, this is a 3-star novel at most, normal people don't just go from useless in combat to being a combat expert in less than a day, the first fight was semi-realistic, he only won against his first zombie because of luck, and then he somehow beat more than 14 zombies only a few hours later, his main ability is way too OP for no reason without any major side-effects.
