Description

(Note - book 1 is LIVE on Amazon, so chapters between ch 11 and ch 75 are stubbed. Summary posted)

Welcome to the Game! You’ve been chosen to fight for your planet’s place in the Multiverse.

Lucas Altan and his friends are among the one-thousand people ripped out of Colorado and teleported to an alien planet. Lucas wakes up alone, with an overly friendly AI as his only companion. Game on.

Here, magic is real and the clock is ticking. The rules are simple: Find your team, then fight through four stages of monster-infested wilderness before time runs out. Fail, and you die . . . and condemn everyone on Earth too.

Lucas has done a lot of crazy things in his life, from fighting forest fires, to teaching skydiving, to starting an online company to hunt scammers. Now he finds he’s got a knack for killing monsters, winning unique loot, and surviving against long odds.

Wielding fast wits, cool spells, and a magical sword that can’t cut anything physical, he needs to level up faster than the odds stacking against him. Getting stronger is the only way to survive, save his friends, and not become that guy who let Earth die.

This fast-paced action fantasy litrpg adventure hurls Lucas into a crucible of combat, magic, and nonstop adventure. Perfect for fans of DCC and Primal Hunter.

Not sure how I encountered this one, but the synopsis was head and shoulders above the previous few I’d read so decided to give it a go. Very glad I did. It’s not perfect, but it’s still a really good story and pretty well written.
    I’d definitely recommend reading this.

Great book! I spend a lot of time reading stories of LITRPG. I loved this storyline and that the character is developing as a person while getting stronger. I appreciate the depth of difficulty he goes to succeed, and it is just an overall great story. I hope it continues to completion and is written quickly! I’d read this again!

So far, so good only into chapter 4 will update score as I go. Seems like a unique lit RPG where the main character starts off very competent. I’m excited to see where it goes but for now am enjoying the ride, talking about rides it seems the author loves motorcycles which seems worth mentioning

I met Frank at Summer Con this year, and discovered his introduction into LitRPG,and holy cow! I'm blow away with how fantastic Nexus Runner has been so far! I'm 63 chapters in and still enjoying every second of it, it's hard to put down! It's an amazing balance of humor and story, and it excels with an interesting approach to the genre! Keep up the good work Frank!

I had this on my read later list for months. I shouldn't have waited. I binged through this in like 2 weeks and now I've only disappointed myself because I  have to wait for more chapters.
I'm enjoying the character development of the Mc, his friends, and the side characters.  I love the interaction between Mc and Cyrus. I'm into the staged battle world game show vibe as well as the hidden plots that are being revealed.
Don't be like me who waited to read, be like me who binged it all.

I really enjoyed reading this one. It feels a bit like a mix between the Ripple System with is sarcastic and funny AI, and the he who fights with monster with its loot system. The action starts almost immediately and kicks into high gear soon after. The humor is top-notch and had me in stitches nearly the entire time.
Grammar. The Writing is clean, presentable, and pleasant to read. I noticed no grammar mistakes of note.
Story: A typical System APOC litrpg where the Mc is whisked away to a tutorial. It starts out different than most but really shines with its MC and Funny AI companion.
Characters: Aside from the system, Which ill get to in the style section, one of the things I like to read in litrpg are the funny AI/funny mc. Frank from Ripple System, Jason from HWFWM, the AI from DCC. Spock from The First Necromancer. It's a favorite trope of mine, and it is well handled here. The dynamic between Lucas and Cyrus may one day be considered one of the greats.
Style: The system here is great, easy to understand, fun, and addictive. It does many things right, borrowing from what other writers have built before to create something fun, new, and exciting. Man, sometimes I read a litrpg, and I'm reminded of why I love the genre. I just could not put this down. I read and read. I finally paused only to write this review and plan to continue reading when I get home. Read this, and you won't regret it.

This is my first venture into litrpg and I'm loving it honestly! I wasn't sure it would be my thing but I love the spells and the loot boxes. The stakes in this story are high, and there are some very interesting character interactions. The updates are incredibly frequent; I almost can't keep up! I'm so excited to see where this story goes.
One thing I like to look for when I read is what the story says about morality. This story is interesting, in that the stakes are high enough that the fate of the world is at hand. The main character is a good guy who tries to make the right choice, but sometimes the consequences of his actions are surprising. I'll be interested to see how he learns and changes from it; for now, he's a normal guy trying to be a good one, and I appreciate reading about that. Frank Morin has been one of my favorite authors for a long time, and it's for a reason! I'm glad I made the jump to follow him to this new genre. He has a gift for magic, for explosive action, and for making me laugh; I'm loving seeing those strengths transported to this new format!

I have to say it, your novel is amazing.
The  way you wrote the story building fits just right, it's sublime.
I kinda think Cyrus is a jerk but what can I say we all love good entertainment.
And who to entertain better than Shelly kkkkk. I love him.
My favorite loot boxes are probably the Ruby of ones kkkkk. Haha.
Can't wait to have more (I've already ate the patreon ones kkkkk).

Not many stories on RR are as good as this one. The system integration is satisfying and shows how humans unique creativity and individuality interacts with a cosmic structure.
The main character has clear motivation and values and a good bit of luck without great loot drops feeling to forced.
There is also a large cast of interesting characters that you can feel have thier own stories and lives running paralel with the main characters story which offers a saitisfying feeling of depth.

Read uptill Chapter 105 when I read Frank's request for a favor. Thus I'm doing my little bit to balance out.
The pace is lovely and all the movie references make this a joyride. I already love a few side characters apart from the MC and to me that makes the story really engrossing.
Keep up the great work bud, love the story so far.
