New Years of Conquest

Description
Centuries of genocidal oppression? Pfft, let's just try to sweep it all under the rug. What could possibly go wrong? Anyway, sorry about eating your cousin, can we maybe borrow a cup of scrap metal, neighbor?
This story is a dark workplace comedy about rebels against a tyrannical regime trying to lay low for a bit, at gunpoint, at a mining outpost staffed by people they've historically oppressed. It's awkward for everyone involved! Very "The Office" meets "Hogan's Heroes".
This story follows after chapter 15 of my other work,New York Carnival, and details the continuing adventures of Commander Sifal of the Arxur Rebellion. It takes place in the same world asThe Nature of Predators, but does NOT require having read it.

- lankhmarRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I haven't read the original, and while there's some complexity it eventually all gets explained. Genre might change at some point but it's mostly slice of life so far (almost a rom-com).
I suspect some might object to the lack of seriousness given "eat everyone and nuke the remains" is a legitimate option (and maybe unrealistic that social orders tople overnight?) But hey its fun, jokes made me laugh and smile. Would recommend!
