- JRPseudonymRoyal Road★★★ 2.5Style: The style of the story feels incomplete, still taking form, the author's inexperience is showing through. Elements that should develop organically are shoved into the reader's face with no clear origin, details the author thinks is important. To be absolutely fair, these details ARE welcome, it's good to know what color the character's hair and eyes are, it's good to know what the heroine LOOKS like. It's just... the author feels as though they are learning the ropes of how to tell a story in an engaging fashion. The word choice does not blend well, scenes that beg for more detail are rushed through, and other events are lingered over for no obvious reason. That said, the fight scenes are quite good, if you can slip past the choppy sentance structure.
Story: The story is actually A+ material. Good world building, intrigueing setup, some genuinely interesting character bits and several mysteries being set up for the characters to discover and work through.
Grammar: I have real issues with the style, but no words are misplaced, no true issues with the language. The sentances are constructed with a solid grasp of the language, perfectly understandable and nothing is misspelled, it just... doesn't quite come together.
Character: I only have one real complaint here. The author seems to rush the inital change over to bunnygirl. She seems to just... fling her old life away without a care. There may be a real reason for this, her patron apparently is a goddess! but the adience is left going "uh... she's not... upset? about this? or even confused? Or curious? She's just... happy to go with it?" The characters in play however are a genuine delight, but I would like to see MORE of them. To KNOW more. I wish to know what's going on in their minds, their goals. Their personalities are clear from interaction, but it feels... shallow. I want to know more.
Summary: Some truely excellent potential here, with the possiblity of a very strong author coming out, but... they're no
