Liam Varsmith was the game’s uncrowned king, winning five championships in a row.
Even in the real world he had everything. Wealth, looks, an athletic body; perfection.
But Liam… found it all incredibly boring.
But with a twist of fate Liam’s life changed drastically when the game’s mysterious AI invited him to join New Game Plus on [Hell] difficulty.
Thrust in a new world, homeless and with a sick little sister, Liam was met with unforeseen challenges.
Fortunately, Fate of Crunaboul existed in this world as well.
Brimming with confidence Liam wasn’t interested in replicating his old life, but in finding friends and braving thrilling challenges.

- 16NF7Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0OK, so this story is fantastic. There are some grammar issues however I blew through it in two days to catch up. I would encourage anyone looking for an interesting story to take a glance and see if you’d be roped in as well.
As a need for total word count, potato potato, potato potato. - MXARoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Similar to Black Flame the MC is really great at the game since he knows it inside out.
To me this is a perfect litrpg.
Not too annoying negative things happen, progression progression progression.
Side characters and new arches all the time.
Its great and I really wish more people can find this gem.
Characters are fun
Really neat boss fights and mechanics
Please god make this story be as good the qhole qay!!! - Corrupt WolfRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Like the story overall so far, there are a few inconsistencies in details the keep changing as the story goes on that bug me as story gets fleshed out but nothing too damaging. The story needs an editor to go over it and fix a few spelling mistakes and add a few missing words.
I like the characters that have been added to flesh out the MCs party, I feel there is more he could be doing to push himself and his party along with his supposed knowledge and skills but it has been shown that he’s holding back a little to help them grow so I guess that covers that point.
I like this type of story and it has good potential and a little polish would go a long way to pushing it to that next level, I don’t normally review so sorry for the rambling and somewhat negatively focused review even though there are plenty of good sides and reasons to give this story a try.
Thank you Author for taking the time to write this and keep up the good work. - UBER1337pyro333Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5I'm not much one for words, but this story is excellent so far. Plenty of characters, plenty of curiosities. My only complaint would be grammar and spelling, but I know the author doesn't natively speak English and it's a hell of a language to learn! Even despite the errors the reading is captivating. I've binged all 250+ chapters in a matter of a week or so, despite my best efforts to pace myself. Looking forward to more!
- AemorRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5It's an entertaining story about a top notch player being transported to another world. It's pretty good, though I must admit I'm not a fan of VR stories so maybe my score is skewed as I stopped reading when I realized it would be heavily focused on that genre as opposed to vr concepts in a new world. Although there seems to be a mix of both going on and bigger plot line hinted at.
The story is nice and direct. Motivations are clear and the world is nicely fleshed out. There's seems to be enough mystery in this setting to keep readers engaged.
If I had to state any negatives it would be that character interaction is too short and direct and sometimes it lends itself to a lot of interpretation on the readers part and it somehow make it seem that something is missing. Even then, the characters themselves are nice.
If you like VR give it a try!
The following is auto generated to meet the minimum of 200 words required to review. And the other one is the one that is the one who is higher than the other person who knows what to do with taskmanager or something. - qxaxRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0It's pretty good! So far it has not gone really far from the classic tropes but it has been pretty nice to read, the grammar was pretty good as well and I will surely wait for some more chapters to read out through it.
I will probably come back and revisit the review in about 100 chaps so that I can update my review.
What I'm hoping for is that it will slowly start to diverge from the classics and bring us something more unexpected.
Nevertheless, try it out for yourself - KenjigarRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0The novel is quite enjoyable and entertaining to read, especially since there's no high expectations for the MC, no grand goals or destiny/fate. He had already stood at the top alone and now wants to do it all over again with his new friends this time. The focus is centered around players competing against each other, unlike other vrmmorpg novels where it became a solo act, over the top or no longer feels like a game but isekai where other players just became background characters with minimal impact on the novel, which in my opinion just ruins the genre. This is easily one of my favorite VRMMORPG novels.
- wathmanRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5VRMMO stories are not an easy sub-genre, and this author has a pretty good interpretation of it. Some extra points for an interesting plot setup with having the MC as an Isekai target, though there really needs to be more explanation of what's going on within the first 30 chapters to make this more coherent. You can get by with just accepting it and moving on with the story, but then it just boils down to a standard VRMMO story with the MC getting a do-over, but with someone else's life.
The actual plot content you get when the VRMMO goes live very closely resembles Zhan Long, the Chinese web novel if you remember that one. Not a direct rip-off or anything, but same tropes and similar circumstances.
The chapters could use a good proofread, lots of unfixed typos and some grammatical errors. There are also many incorrectly used words that disrupt the flow, but if this story is coming from a non-native English speaker, it's not too noticeable. There's maybe 2-3 found per chapter.
The story is pretty enjoyable even if there are some technical problems, and lots of missing context that I feel should have been expanded on to make this specific universe more unique. I'm content to keep reading for now, but hope to see improvement with what the story is still lacking. - SeneuscaegaRoyal Road★★ 2.0The most that can be said is it's average. It's not terrible, but it's far from good too.
Generic story, with no real stand out characters. Inconsistencies in keeping track of things like currency, for example looting gold only to struggle with silver later. Doesn't read like there was timeline or plan to the writing, more like in the moment writing that was forgotten quickly.
Battles are a bit all over the place. With some statements difficult or impossible to work out who is saying them, and damage values difficult or impossible to determine who is damaging or being damaged.
Lots of grammar and incorrect spelling and word choices, but for english being a second language it's pretty good. The mistakes are rarely immersion breaking and usually skimmed past without much notice.
If you are extremely bored, give it a go, but if it doesn't capture you early give it a miss. It pretty much stays the same - Dholodrir1Royal Road★★ 1.5Feels like the stripped-down, least interesting version of an over-saturated story-type. I like this type of story but this version has none of the interesting aspects one can reasonably expect and also introduces nothing new. Don't waste your time if you don't like it after a few chapters or stop liking it at any point. It doesn't get better.
