Description
In the world of Sykerion, year 451, the demon lord was defeated. Thoth, the hero, died at the end of the battle, satisfied that he finally able to die. Hearing a voice though, his expectations of resting in peace has been betrayed, and a few seconds later, he finds that the pains from his wounds as disappeared, and the location around him changed. Opening his eyes, he looks around in his surroundings, and finds himself in a bright, unknown place. After looking at his body, he believes that fate is just toying with him now. He has reincarnated as a female child.
Be aware that this is my first time writing a novel at all. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I'd also appreciate any corrections, suggestions for improvement, and productive comments about the story. Thank you! Oh, and also, by Mature content I mean battle scenes involving blood and other gorey stuff.
News: Currently rewriting chapters 8 - 13 (Won't release until I finish them all, since I'll be moving around the chapters again. For the sake of keeping the story in chronological order, please bear with me for this.)
Estimated time to finish: 5/22/17

- GoblinAuthorRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I have re-read the story twice, and I really hope that this gets picked back up someday, I am rooting for Thot x Aria
- FakeKnightRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I read this one when it was releasing so take this review as a grain of salt, but after all this time it still feels like an old friendly piece that if it ever returns i would love to be reading it again just something that stood the test of amazing content after these years. Thanks Yubi for the Story.
- GoldenExplosionRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Everything was relatively amazing. Good characters and interaction also the plot. Better written some Light novels and barely any cliches. Also you cant get bored as you won't know what will happen *cough cough Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai saikyou cough cough*.
Sad that this has stopped updating. Anyway, I still recommend. - LomyrilRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I think having a main character that only speaks up to four words at a time is an interesting character trait. The thoughts of the main character are verbose enough, and the other characters in the novel can certainly carry the conversation easily. The more I read the story, the more I look forward to reading more.
One of the best lines in the story so far comes during a certain combat situation. The main character says, "I. Am. The. King."... after which, you just KNOW all kinds of mayhem will happen next.
This is definitely one of my favorite stories on Royal Road.
EDIT: It's unfortunate that the first nine chapters were revised a bit. I think the original versions were much better. I also hope the author comes out with new chapters eventually. It's still a great story. - SovietWeebRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I do like this story a fair amount, I was even nicely surprised that the story got out of the school part of the story that so many other stories seem to get stuck on. Only thing I dislike is that the MC and the Demon King aren't aware of the secret plotting going on behind their backs. I just wish this would suddenly come back to life.
- GodleydemonRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0I have to say, I enjoyed this far more than I thought I would. I had read the reviews that the protag was fairly silent and didn't interact much. Something I felt a little apprehensive about, and something other reviewers did have some problems with. I was pleasantly surprised.
Aria our main protag, is honestly, the cutest freaking thing ever lol. Her silence and only speaking ever 4 words at a time makes every word she says something special, unique. Her translator friend though cracks me up the most with being able to understand her with single words.
Also, I actually quite enjoy the little spatterings of romance that the author has fitted in. It's subtle, things you can pick up for sure without even trying hard. But it's enough to be at least a little understandable on why she hasn't realized it yet. Her emotional outbursts, things that wouldn't have happened in her previous life. Has happened due to jealousy, she just doesn't understand the emotion. Since she's, well, taciturn, she probably never experienced many emotions in the first place let alone knows what they mean.
All in all, I really liked this novel, and can't wait to read more of what happens next. Though, I do believe I had some issues with one part of the novel, when her mother didn't come home. She didn't care, when she should have. Aria, up to this point, has bounded quite significantly with her family. She has grown to love them in her own way and wishes to protect them. Aria should have been worried and at least asked her father for an explanation. It's possible I missed it, but I don't think I did. - NeroRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5This fiction is really interesting with a somewhat original story.
The characters are almost real, it's somewhat lacking in diversity but the deep of their personality cover this weakness.
It's also well written, I personally like the style of the writer.
The only thing I don't like, and sometimes disappoint me is that most of the fiction is too separated from the main plot.
In most of the chapters, it's about the everyday life of the MC, her schoolday, her day with her friends...
Don't get me wrong, there's enough action in the Volume 1, but the pace of the plot is too slow.
We don't see any invader force until chapter 30. And all the differents POV is annoying, there are too many of them. It cut the progress of the story. We often see the same things being described 2 times from 2 different characters.
I hope the pace of the V2 will be faster. Also an interesting secondary plot would be welcome. - gyro2deathRoyal Road★★★ 3.0I had to stop reading. Which is sad because I do like this story. The problem is that this MC is just not consistent with her actions.
The MC is brokenly strong which is fine, she seals her powers to not make life boring which is fine, she wants to not die...but puts herself into situations where shes gonna die because she sealed her powers in extremely stupid ways....
Thankfully there is a far smarter character than her, who fixes the obviously stupid mistake of the MC. Yet the MC still acts incredibly stupid despite being quite smart in the last life. And no the being social inept doesn\'t explain it. Not being able to recognize that people are looking at you due to your beauty is beyond retarded for someone whose reincarnated even if they weren\'t interested in sex. Shes even told several times how beautiful she is and ignores it.
It\'s a shame how good Thoth (The Demon King) is, and that is why I kept reading this series. Hoping that it would be salvaged by Thoth rubbing off on the MC. But the MC stupidly ignores everything around them, getting a beat down 1 moment only to remember how to fight the next moment to give false tension.
The goal the MC sets is fine, to try to hold back as much power as possible. But the problem is the MC forgets about 90% of their magic even when they use it.
I wish the author would just take the Demon King and rewrite the story with them as the MC and not have the real MC in the story. The Demon King takes all her strong points and uses them to the fullest to gain power, and as far as show in the story can easily kick the crap out of a similarly powerful MC despite the fact the MC beat the Demon King when he was only 1/5 the strength.
Uguh lost potential. This series could have been fun if we didn\'t have a brick for an MC. - EcoJakkRoyal Road★★★ 2.5(This review is based on the first 10 chapters, it may improve if you keep reading.)
The story started out fine prologue was used to build the world setting.
MC was gender-bent for no real reason as they didn’t have an attachment to being male, so for all intents and purposes they are just a female, the fact they were male previously has no effect on the story.
MC reincarnated because they overcame the ‘impossible’ and unlocked [New Game Plus] while the demon king shows up without any rhyme or reason.
MC is Pathetic, powerful enough to destroy the world, yet avoids or passively accepts anything that happens to them (explained away as the MC being socially inept).
Overall: not very good and I would only recommend this if you’re out of things to read.
Grammar and ease of reading are perfectly fine and the reason I rate this story over 1 star. - FrequentFailureRoyal Road★ 0.5MC has power but doesnt use it for no good reason and instead is a pushover
as i said the mc is a pushover i cant stand any novels where the mc despite being strong acts like a pushover for no good reason
