Netherborne: Reborn as the Strongest Undead
Community Rating
Description
A Goddess gave Victor a choice. He could be reborn as anything that ever existed.
After much debate, he chose to reincarnate as the strongest undead in existence. A race even the Goddess wished he wouldn't pick:A Netherborne, which were famed for ending worlds and leaving them as lifeless husks.
Initially, Victor picked this race for its significant advantages that would let him live an easy and carefree life. However, as time passed, he realized world domination as an undead entity wasn't all it was chalked up to be. Now, with even the world fighting his very existence, he has no other desire than to survive and carve out a life for himself in this new world filled with magic and monsters.
Unfortunately, his upstart kingdom, ruled by the dead providing a lavish lifestyle to its citizens, faced some scrutiny and drew the ire of the surrounding countries. The greedy nobles and inhabitants of this world seemed unwilling to let a supposedDemon Lordtake root on their soil.
Turns out life was a pain even as an undead God.

- khonabRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0See now leaving an actual textual review seems like hard work, I'm much more of a reader than a writer, but this story seems worthwhile, despite being "only" 500 pages long. (azarinth healer spoiled me, okay? Sue me.) Characters are pretty interesting, although the level of power going around is a smidge high--but what did you expect from the summary? Especially fascinating are the group called the
Hackers - Brythnoth: Void ChampionRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Yes its a cheesy joke; but i love those kinds.
For those who get it and are groaning, good to see you again; to those who don't, this is a awesome story that fell victim to not enough algorith love, so the author reposted it.
Long story short - MC is OP (But not unbeatable or infalable, which is nice) Human-turned-Void-Creature. As a constantly dying Super-Necromancer; Mixed with Surpressed emotions, and a desire to do something different that the Cliches of all the LN he's read; he decides to build a town. Hijinx ensue. Also Dragons. - Jame15334Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Love the book if you and so will you if you like OP main character then you will like this story. There will twist and turns I just how the author will deal with power creep in book 2.
Spoiler:
there will be dungeon delving, light town building, necromancy and undead galor - MD-ReaperRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I love the style and the grammar is excellent. The story flows easy and there isn't any of the needless repetition of the basic plot points throughout the story that galena sometimes in books. Without it you can just enjoy yourself with a full read instead of constant recaps of what story you're reading or grammar errors that distract you which is something I really appreciate in not only this story but in the writers style in general.
The story itself is very interesting and new. An undead creature with the mind of a modern human is beyond my imagination. All of the characters are well laid out including backgrounds and abilities but the main character keeps me curious of what a human minded creature might do next.
Overall an excellent writer with great execution of an intriguing story. I look forward to following along for the rest of the journey with the MC.

The story itself is very interesting and new. I've never read a story of an undead creature with the mind of a modern human. It's beyond my imagination and really keeps me captivated. I think all of the characters are really well laid out including their backgrounds, abilities and relationships. For me though the main character is my favorite and keeps me curious of what a human minded creature might have to face and what plans he will have to think of next.
Overall I absolutely love the story. It's a story by an excellent writer with great execution of an intriguing story. I really look forward to following along with the story for the rest of the MC's j - Snipez911Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Completed the first book. Starting the second. Really fun read. There are some failings but overall really good. I think the main shortcoming is that there is just so much going on. The author has to jump around quite a bit. It seems like storylines are begun and touched on only to be unexplored or in some cases completely forgotten or abandoned. Not sure if this will be rectified going forward but it's definitely something I've noticed. Really good though overall. Fun premise and lots of room to expand and progress the story. Looking forward to seeing where we go from here. Keep it coming.
- SoulfinderRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0It's a great story, I took a chance reading it, and I was not disappointed! I'm excited to see more in the future.
I haven't read a story styled quite this way, but I really enjoyed it! It flowed well, and had interesting elements that differed from the typical litRPG
The story was clearly thought out and didn't leave the readers in the dry. Each chapter had something new and interesting, and consistently advanced the storyline.
The grammar was more than good enough to contribute to the story, and it certainly didn't hold it back. I recall seeing the occasional typo, but it was always something minor.
Characters are consistently interesting, I particularly enjoy the feel of how well you delved into the inhuman protagonist side of the story.
In the future, I'm hoping to see more of the delving into the depths of the system, and perhaps expanding on the mention of the creators of the system. The Hackers seem like something that MC will likely look further into, and I'm excited to see that.
All in all, five stars isn't enough to express how much I enjoy the story, I genuinely hope to see more of this story in the future! - Synax ErrorRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Netherborne was initially released a while ago, however, chapters weren't being released fast enough to stay on rising stars for long, or build up a reader base that suited the author's hopes for this story. They have improved since and are now re-releasing this to build up a more significant reader base. Give this excellent story a read!
- Things4funRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This has been a fun read because the world building has been limited to the story relavent items. There is plenty of things that I'm looking forward to seeing develop in the future as the story continues to develop. While the immediate focus is on the town and one dungeon, the other counties and dungeons are unknown future elements... let alone alternate worlds, with the door left wide open. I look forward to reading how it turns out.
- aborednerdRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Interesting work here in my opinion. I also enjoyed this author's work on the demonic tree novel which you should check out if you haven't.
I finished this novel and am probably going to look to see if the next is available yet.
I feel like the author makes good use of isekai / reincarnation tropes. The book will likely leave you wanting more, but does reach a satisfying conclusion for a first arc. I would describe the overall arc as an arrival or beginning.
Not sure what I want to say that isn't just retelling what is already there. It's free, go read it. - apflbaumRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0So I dodged this (fortunately not for long) because of the 4 and a bit rating. And was confused by the exclusively good reviews. So I gave it a shot.
and here I am truly happy. This novel is great, is has superb writing, plot, different and interesting characters (neat POVs, not too many, not too little!) worldbuilding, ideas and an OP mc who isnt boring. As the mc has big disadvantages while still being super strong. Nice solution. I was confused by the more modern speech in a medieval setting at first, but as I learned more about the world I feel the world is more developed than I thought. Actually I think it's quite fitting and funny. The side characters are really nicely written. Yea I recommend it a lot. Author keep is up
